Calzaghe could outbox Toney, no doubt about it.

    The question is, would he?

We all know he likes a good scrap, if he kept Toney at the end of his jab and worked his way around him, he'd win a decision.. if not, his face would take punishment.

        calz would easily beat toney.

toney was only good really (elite) at cruiser and above before his style had advantages against heavy, slow fighters.

toney lost to fast, slick fighters like jones when calz has proved he can deal with accurate power punchers from hopkins and kessler. i think calz would win fairly easily

Look at you all talking about me in this thread, it must mean I am awesome.

I pick James Toney to win by brutal by KO in the first round as Calzaghe literally falls into the gulf in class.

          Calzaghe KO1 over Hagler.

Jirov even punches similiar to Calzaghe....
jirov? jirov?! u ****ing serious man? jirov is nothing like calz, jirov is a nobody!

jirov is a lot slower and has no boxing brain

Joe Calzaghe because he wouldn't be eating Mcdonalds for his eating habbits before a big fight. Even when Toney was thin he was never truly ripped because all he ever did was treat his body like crap and it showed in the sport. His body deteriorated over time for treating it like an amusement park.

they are on different levels. prime jt outclasses him. actually, i wouldn't be surprised if toney stopped him. i think b-hop demonstrated that calzaghe can be countered by crafty fighters. calzaghe never faced someone on the level of toney or b-hop (in their primes)

He is The "ONE" so that is an unfair fight!

Couple of things for me to point out about the Welsh Eurobum though...

                      1) If you think he and Toney are really on different levels then I regret to inform you that you are yet to break out of the illusory world of self deception caused by believing that America freakin' pwns.

                      2) Lots of people in lots of threads are always saying "I think Calzaghe will lose because he will suffer a KD, he might get KOd." This is a symptom of only ever having watched Calzaghe v Hopkins. Calzaghe has been down three times in his career and never been close to being KOd. The chances of your prediction coming true are slim on the one hand and virtually non-existent on the other.
