Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver were smaller than Hopkins? Hopkins was the first to beat Johnson and Tarver was recognized light heavyweight champion. Those wins surpasses everyone that Calzaghe has beaten to be honest. If Calzaghe beat those two, then you would probably be repeating a thousand times.

Hopkins and it's not even remotely close. Calzaghe has only beat one great fighter who is a shell of himself.

Calzaghe could beat Jermain Taylor with one hand.

I actually think Taylor would be too much for him. Taylor can box, counter punch and is a hard puncher so anyone with that style would trouble Calzaghe. Kessler was too flat footed so Calzaghe was able to box circle around him, Taylor used the ring nicely and has a great jab as well. Especially the version that showed up to fight Pavlik in the rematch. A straight counter puncher with a good jab would give Calzaghe fits because it would neutralize his foot speed and offset his game.

What you think doesn't matter, because you don't know anything.

You should read my posts, and never type except to ask questions

I have some doubts about this.

Hes a slick southpaw, gives you the angles, is very exciting and can box. What more can a fan of technical fighters ask for? Calzaghe is brilliant make no mistake about it, hes just not greater than Hopkins.
