Woods is a can aswell he robbed Glen Johnson remind me who he had beaten of note before or after that? the guy was another Roy can

Eric Lucas watching the fight lets you know what a can this guy was
What other Eric Lucas fight did you watch outside of the one with Roy? Eric had a decent career. He was far from a can. Lucas was better than Carlos Baldomir.

Anyway, Tarver knocked him out, yes. Like I said before, lets see where Floyd is in 2012 when he's 35. You think he'll fight the #1 guy in the division? I doubt it.

      LMAOOO!

He looked excellent in that fight? Were you high? Hell, if you were high, it would have been more clear to you how bad Floyd looked in that fight.

Floyd nearly QUIT on his stool. I remember him crying to Roger in the corner about his hand. Roger had to tell him to SUCK IT UP. Floyd was bleeding badly from both nostrils and his face was swollen.

Floyd's offense looked good in that fight, but he got LIT THE **** UP! To this date, Floyd still says Burton was his toughest fight. To this date!

      I wonder why....

you must of been watching a different fight to the Burton fight Burton was hammered the only time i can remember Floyd showing real discomfort in a fight was against Carlos Hernandez when he did hurt his hand and he was complaining in the corner to Roger

You obviously didn't see this fight, so stop talking about it.

In closing, I was there. I sat in the front row (same row as Lalia Ali and her ex husband and Ricardo Williams). Angel Manfredy was a few rows over as well.

After the fight, the buzz was that Floyd was going to get HAMMERED by Diego Corrales.

Again, why do you think Floyd repeatedly says Burton was his toughest fight?

Oscar (East Los Angeles, CA): Floyd, who has given you the toughest time in a fight? And would you consider taking a fight with Miguel Cotto?

Floyd Mayweather: My toughest fight to day was probably Emmanuel Burton in 2000, right before I fought Corrales. I'm not thinking about any other fighter but Ricky Hatton right now.

sounds to me like you are the one who did not see the fight

the only time Floyd has been stressed in the corner was against C Hernandez when he hurt his hands around about round 5,6 and he was complaining to Roger in the corner

Jesus Chavez gave Floyd more trouble than Burton did as did Victoriano Sosa ,Burton may have kept forcing the pace but Chavez was getting Floyd out of his game plan untill Floyd began to get to grips with him down the stretch and you could make a case that Chavez ,Sosa won at least 1 round where as Burton never looked close to winning a round he got dominated go watch the fight fool

it may have been his hardest paced fight but he still beat the crap out of Burton and Burton did not win 1 round

jones' fight style relied on speed and reaction to avoid punches and that wasn't working for him anymore.

tyson's height and reach disadvantages started showing against the taller fighters who knew how to fight him. he only lost against significantly taller fighters who used their jab to keep their distance and when tyson would make his way on inside, they would quickly hold him which made tyson's exceptional athletic skills ineffective. tyson would have been a monster at cruiserweight but he wouldn't have made nearly as much money which is probably why he chose to go heavyweight. if you really think about, there were fighters that have fought at super featherweight, lightweight, welterweight that were taller than tyson. hw was not the division for him but he still tore through the division in the 80's and captured all 3 major belts(of that time) and beat all his contenders. Just his accomplishments in the 80's alone puts him as a top 10 hw all-time IMO.
I'm sorry, but you need to look in the mirror. You go on all the time about some Calzaghe fans being ridiculous with their spin on his career and rightly so, but you've just done the same with Tyson.

The reason Tyson started losing was because he dropped Rooney as his trainer and started neglecting the basics to head hunt. His lifestyle just got to his head. Tyson should be considered no higher than Naseem Hamed; both were exciting dominant champions for a short period and then got arrogant, throwing away everything they had. The only difference is that Tyson staggered on beating bums and being easily beaten by world class fighters. Neither one beat a world class fighter.
