    manny-oscar?make it happen!

say what you want but i can't hate a guy who won a gold medal for his country, started his pro career as a feather weight, stopped chavez the legend twice, then ripped through every division all the way up to hopkins... always has fought the best of the best. he also continues to stand up for his people who don't even deserve to be represented by someone like him. he should be ashamed of being mexican. they are ungrateful bastards, frauds that give him their backs.
pacman is doinh the right thing! balls got nothing to do with it when you are offered 20+ mill. no more excuses from you haters! they will be the same size on fight night, bit pacman has all the advantages youth, speed, won't drain yo make weight. i can't wait for this fight!! go pacman! war manny! add another mexican to the list!

        No go for Pacman-Oscar fight!

        By Nick Giongco

Manny Pacquiao has decided to stay at lightweight and defend his WBC 135-lb crown after turning down an offer by Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) for a Dec. 6 fight in Las Vegas, lawyer Franklin Gacal said in a statement released early Thursday morning. "I have been informed that Oscar De La Hoya is firm with the 70-30 revenue sharing and won't budge in to the 60-40 split we have counter-offered.

Get the **** outta here with this ridiculous double standard

the only 1 who would need balls to fight the other fighter would be oscar, if he fought margarito. weight? 10-13 lbs? yea yea yea..................

          ****, i'd fight oscar for 2 mil, and i only weigh 115......................

Sorry old boy, but Oscar began his career as a lightweight. I've always liked watching Oscar's fights, because he had, and still has, very good skills. BUT....you cannot count the 2 fights against JC Chavez. Oscar was young, fast, strong, and very good. Chavez was old, (35 and 37 years old) very worn out, had had just under 100 fights and just over 100 fights. Not to mention (which I will anyway) that Oscar had about a 5-6 inch reach advantage as well as about a 4 inch height advantage. And who knows what rehydrated weight advantage.

NO.... Chavez was just a name on Oscar's record, and Chavez only had 7-8 more fights before retiring. In those days, (even today), 36-7 was very old for a smaller weight fighter who generally peaked at about 25-8.

In fact, the only fight I can think of where Oscar didn't have a studied, definite advantage (or thought he had) was the Hopkins fight......and that smelled of rotten fish which still stinks. In Mosley 1 he must have had the judges in his pocket to have got a split loss, since the fight was easy enough to score with Mosley winning at least 8-4 in rds. As for Trinidad, he took a 5th rd body shot that began his demise and the last 5 rounds were spent in running away. No judge, however slanted, could give a fighter a win who was running away. He lost the Sturm, Whitaker and Quartey fights although he got the decisions.

I'm glad the Pacquiao fight is off, it was NO GOOD and stank as much as the Hopkins fight.

But he's almost a billionaire, which is his ambition, so he says, so why shouldn't we help him to it. He NEEDS it.........

Pac-man Is Not Going 2 Let This Fight Slip Through His Fingers. He Has Been Fighting 4 2 Long 2 Let This Pay Day Slip By. At This Point In His Career Its About The Money. I Believe That Goldy And Pac-man Will Come 2 An Agreement On The Purse. No Matter What This Will Be Pac-mans Biggest Payday. Why Would He Turn Down At Least 20,000,000 To Fight Goldy For Maybe 1,000,000 Or Whatever It'll Be 2 Fight Sotto?
