As much as Oscar disliked Floyd.. Oscar is the new P4P Byatch.

As much as Oscar disliked Floyd.. Oscar is the new Byatch. This is all about a washed up old fighter with a big ego. He can't beat anyone good.. so he chooses to fight little old Pacquaio.. what a simp. Sugar whupped him twice... Bhop knocked him out (well he quit).. Trinidad got a decision so what else can he do? He would be better off rematching Trinidad.

Margarito.. Cotto.. etc. can wait while DLH settling for the big money for the maintime! Except when you fools believes that DLH will retire after Manny!

And because of this many intrigues and criticisms that surfaced that made this fight pushed through! Because I bet despite of this very "īrregular" nature of the match will make you watch this bout no matter how you hates it! Guaranteed!!!
NO it's not only "for money" it's also for the certainty of winning with little damage.
The same way he want's a 70-30 split, he also wants a 70-30 loaded opportunity of winning.

Just imagine Ibragimov-Klitschko, Lewis-Mavrovic or Trinidad-Wright; Those fighters could not get past Lewis', Klitschko's or Wright's left hands. Thyere are loads more examples of this kind of fight. [Cast back to the Tye Fields- Sherman "Tank" Williams fight]. And Oscar has as good a left hand as any of those Champions, with the added ability of turning it over into a lethal hook.

I like Manny P, but I've always detected, that when things are NOT exactly going his way, he gets discouraged, becomes wild, off balance etc. You've all seen it. Although he looked great against Diaz, it was more because Diaz was an almost stationary target, like a swinging heavy bag, than that Manny had suddenly acquired miraculous skills.

I believe Mammy crested about 3 fights ago, and is over his peak, and I believe that DeLaHoya has seen the same thing, and feels, along with the size and weight difference that he can beat even the recognized p4p @1 with not much hurt getting through to him-Oscar.

How does Manny expect to get close enough to Oscar to hit him? Oscar is no slouch, I repeat NO slouch. Pscar is both good and with loads of experience. I believe-with no evidence I admit_ that Freddy Roach is counting on his huge percentage he was able to winkle out of Manny.

Just my opinion. And, by the way, I like this article, it's very well collated and written.
      And basically correct.

Many say this fight is a joke, a freakshow, etc, etc.
Well, that's why its going to be the biggest PPV fight in history.
People will want to see it knowing that the possibility of Pac being KTFO
is there, as well as the possibility of Oscar being shamed by a little man.
        lol

          Pac's Gunna Win!!!!

Manny should get this on points if he can stay away from oscars size advantage/power as he is just so much smaller...I mean if he can make 147 he will look the fat kid from the MANSHOW!!!!
Its gunna be like Cotto vs Marg otherwise as Marg was so much bigger (6"2 to Cotto's 5"9) Manny will go alright for a few but wont hurt Oscar and evbentually be stopped...I love Oscar but shame on you...ya should have fought Margarito...would have been a blockbuster.
          Go Pac!!

It really is a shame that this fight seems so probable. Maybe Oscar is setting a new trend:
Margarito vs Abraham anyone? Pavlik vs Haye? Darchinyan vs Hatton? I really hope somehow pac-man beats dlh.

Pavlik vs Lockett was a mandatory fight for Kelly's WBO belt shown on regular HBO

Hatton vs Lazcano was shown on Versus in the USA, and was Ricky Hatton's tune up

where Pac-Man vs Oscar De La Hoya is HBO PPV.

how can you compare the 3?

one was a mandatory fight, another a tune up, and this

well it's just awesome. so could we please get a "fight negotiation" update in the next 3-4 hours?

So the main gripe is it's a PPV HBO fight? Why the **** would you settle for versus if you could have it on PPV HBO? You're acting like this is all fun and games and they're doing it for their health.

It's another boxing match. I don't give a **** if it's on HBO, Showtime, Versus, Telemundo or the ****ing Disney Channel. There's no reason these guys shouldn't be trying to make as much $$$ as they possibly can.

So criticize Hatton for taking such a ***** weak tune up fight.. And if it wasn't for the ref saving him, he would of been stopped in that fight.

              Mosley 9:1 against Vargas

              Berto 6:1 against Forbes

              Taylor 5:1 against Lacy

              Joel Julio 15:1 against Varela

              Abraham 12:1 against Marquez

There are a lot more fights to criticize out there...Bigger mismatches than DLH v Pac. Just because they're trying to make as much as they can off it? You'd be a ****ing ****** not to. Yea, let's have our match on Versus!
