This fight sounds worse by the day. It's all about Pacman getting paid while Oscar going out with a win. I'd rather see Oscar fight Margartio and retire with a loss (maybe) than beat down Pacman and get the "W".

I guess we'll just have to see what happens, but I read another article regarding the fight that said a deadline of August 13th was being talked about, so I guess it's something to shoot for.

not much difference between the 10 and the 8 oz glove other than at welterweight were theres a use of both it seems like the 8s cause more bruising and cuts.

this idea has taken any validity this fight had and threw it out the window. I thought manny actually was gonna try to beat dlh but now it just has the feel of an exhibition match especially with no title involved. what a waste of time.

question if dlh aint gonna fight margarito for sure and you could see dlh fight cotto would you rather see that than pacman?

There is a huge diference between 8 oz and 10 oz profesional gloves. when you use the 8 oz gloves you can feel the punches you recieve a lot harder and when you punch you can feel the punch all the way to your shoulder, i have had hurt my hands and i broke my left hand with the 8 oz golves many times, believe me 2 oz are a huge difference, specially if you´re wearing Cleto Reyes gloves. as i am between welterweight and middleweight i basicaly use 10 oz golves. i think de la hoya wants the 10 oz glove because he wont hurt his hands during the fight. with the 10 oz gloves it feels more padded and are a bit bigger.

in other words if you use 8 oz gloves it feels like hitting with your bare hands.

i have used all brands winning, everlast, grant, and Cleto Reyes. if you want confort and at the same time want to ko your foe use Reyes. if you want to sparr or fight without hurting your hands use winning, everlast i just dont like, they dont fit me right, and grant are the second best after Reyes. grant are very good glove and are punchers gloves just like reyes, i think grant is like a combination between winning and reyes.

so the glove would for sure matter

because they are the two biggest boxers in boxing right now...superstars get talked about only if they talked about them more in the news it would help boxing big time.
