ok this is so ******. I will give you the truth.OK? AFter the first Williams-Margarito fight. Williams did not want a rematch, but also stated that Marg will need to work his way up the rankings and get himself a Mandatory shot to force a rematch. Williams thinking was that Margarito was forced to fight his mandatory, Williams, and made Williams wait like 256 days before deciding to fight Williams before fighting Cotto, so Margarito wont be stripped. Paul did not like that and felt Margarito should be treated the same way. Thats all. After some options fell through for his first title defense, Paul offered Margarito a rematch because there was nothing else better available especially after Cintron bitched out of a unification fight with Williams. Arum advised Margarito to fight Golden Schlong and Cintron to get to Cotto. What this other guy is also failing to mention, is that Arum did not want the rematch at any time, even after the first fight. A rematch was never an option for Top Rank. Thats the whole story. Now, Williams wants the rematch because the rematch decides who is undisputed champ. Thats all.
