First off, Max's comments tonight were the best work he's done on HBO yet. I texted him and told him as much. That was the cat from ESPN. Agree or disagree, his job is to bring it and he let loose with aplomb. What he said was also fair in that he made exception for Mayweather just not wanting it anymore as ok. However, what he said on legacy was excellent. The WAY Tony beat Cotto, walking through malicious bombs, validated arguments that Floyd, marketing smart or not, knew more about Margarito than people outside Boxing who only read records and made safer choices.

He said Mayweather didn't close his legacy, Mayweather hasn't proven to be the best WW. He should fight a legit WW and seal his legacy. If he is no longer motivated he should retire. It wouldn't be good to fight a WW having a foot inside the ring and a foot outside the ring. What he means by that is, If he no longer into to it, don't come to fight. Something like that
