The flashier punches may have been landed by Cotto but the cleaner ones came from Margarito--and a lot more of them too, I should add. Cotto went back to his corner with a bloody nose and cut eye in only round two. Somebody was ****ing his face up and it wasn't Kenny Bayless. Not to mention all the incredible bodypunching Margarito displayed. And you mean to tell me Cotto was winning? Please.
2. Paul Williams already beat Margarito. As for Floyd, I believe he can as well but he's given us no reason to believe he's ever been inclined to do so. In other words, don't hold your breath. Oh, and that doesn't mean we automatically pretend like Floyd woulda won. You know, like how Cotto woulda won too.
3. You act like starving to make weight helps you take punches better. NEWSFLASH: It's the exact opposite. Starving to make weight weakens you, just ask Chris Byrd, or Roy Jones or, better yet, MIGUEL COTTO. So I don't think Margarito being big for welter has anything to do with a rock solid chin. It would be just as solid at 154, I can assure you, if not better. If Wladimir Klitschko ever ****** himself down to 175, he'd get KTFO with the first punch that landed.
4. So all Cotto needs to do is tighten up his defense and "up his conditioning" eh? Wow, you don't say? Well ****, if that's the case he should go for an immediate rematch! Let's see if he does.
