Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito: The Rematch

Just got done watching Cotto Margarito. Up until rounds 8 & 9....Miguel was doing a great job boxing. I didnt know he had that in him. And i gotta give him big ups on his toughness and conditioning.

Lets get some things straight:

Cotto didnt SURVIVE 11 Rounds:

He was winning the fight and succumbed to VOLUMES of punches late in the fight.

Margaritos in no way boxings new Chuck Norris

HE CAN AND WILL BE BEAT....probably by Paul Williams or Floyd

Margarito has a great chin.....for a WW:

Margs probably not even suppose to be a WW, just like Paul Williams. Their dimensions are more so built for 154 and up. (NOT KNOCKIN EITHER ONE....IM JUST SAYIN, thats like Wlad slimming down to pick on 175 pounders)

If a rematch happens Cotto WILL win....IF:

He tighens up his defense and ups his conditioning a little

I think cotto had a good strategy and that strategy was the only way he could of won, and he didn't so idk if he would win if they had a rematch. If cotto went w/ more body shots he could of had a better chance of winning.

I really dont see Marg KOing Cotto again, speaking of which he didnt REALLY knock Cotto out in the 1st place....his corner throw in the towel.

I think Cotto showed that he COULD beat Margarito in the fight. He showed a very good blueprint for victory in the first half of the fight before he tired and his movement started to get a little sloppy. As a result he started getting caught too often which slowed him down even further and led to him being KOd. I think if Cotto worked harder on his stamina and movement he could definately have a good chance of winning a rematch.

Im a big fan of Cotto, but styles make fights. Margs has a bad style for him. Besides making changes, he would also need a plan B and C. It can be done, and I'd love to see it, but at the moment Im wary. Lets see how he looks when he returns.
