Did calzaghe walk around at 168? And people here claiming hopkins should of had to move up 8 pounds to fight joe?? Oh the irony!
    Hopkins was a light heavyweight.

Who spent his career at Middleweight.

And who's best wins were against Welterweights.

Henry Armstrong aint got nothin on Soapy!

There's something awfully su****ious about a guy who started his career at LHW, hiding out in a weak MW division till he was 41 years old and only then moving up after back to back losses to one of the greatest MW of all time, Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor.

To fight an aging part time actor coming down from 217 lbs, nonetheless.

That must make Joe a cruiserweight feasting on SMW's. Great logic.

Amazing a light heavyweight could make weight for 15 years and to the age of 40 without being weight drained. Impressive!

"I'll never let a white boy beat me"

"But I'll let a brother who gets regularly KTFO by white boys beat me twice"

"I make the same weight when I walk around at about 190-pounds." - Joe Calzaghe (2005).

Yep, a cruiserweight feasting on SMW's. smh

it's that time again! when people start comparing calzaghe's resume to hopkins and pretending they were on the same level we must inform them and unleash the truth.

joe calzaghe(the great) compared to some of his peers. rankings by ring ****zine.

calzaghe 8 out of 21 title defenses against top 10 ranked opponents
ottke 9 out of 21 title defenses against top 10 ranked opponents
hopkins 16 out of 20 title defenses against top 10 ranked opponents

calzaghe 9 out of 22 title fights(at super-middle) against top 10 ranked opponents
ottke 10 out of 22 title fights(at super-middle) against top 10 ranked opponents
hopkins 20 out of 24 title fights(at middle-weight) against top 10 ranked opponents

calzaghe 12 total fights against guys ranked in the top 10(all divisions)
ottke 12 total fights against guys ranked in the top 10(all divisions)
hopkins 26 total fights against guys ranked in the top 10(all divisions)

as floyd mayweather would say "women lie, men lie, calzaghe fanboys lie, but rankings don't lie!"

you are probably thinking to yourself but but ottke and calzaghe are undefeated and hopkins is a bum with several losses and draws. hopkins fought much tougher competition and has several controversial losses and draws while ottke and calzaghe have several controversial wins. records can be so deceiving.

when your flimsy swiss cheese resume is on par with sven ottke are you really an all time great?

when your best win is a gift decision over a 43 year old hopkins are you really an all time great? everyone should have seen the video evidence of this by now but i can show how hopkins outlanded calzaghe by a wide margin and landed the much harder punches in at least 6 rounds. but calzaghe did throw a lot...so....there's that.

when you never fight the best guy in the division you spent your career in are you an all time great? sven ottke and joe calzaghe somehow managed to defend their titles 21 times at the very same time in the very same division without ever fighting each other. how is that possible! fraud fest!

when you retire when the iron is hot for several great legacy fights are you an all time great?

when you had to cheat to win a large majority of your fights are you really an all time great? calzaghe the early stoppage king had the refs hand him undeserved wins when opponents weren't even allowed a fair chance at winning. most of his "knockouts" were stopped when the opponent wasn't hurt at all, sometimes they weren't even being hit, and sometimes they were even hitting calzaghe and the fight was stopped! ever heard of earning your victory? watch out for the he would have won anyway people!

                    Lol@ the steelhammer-esque copy n paste jobs.

Doesnt change the fact that Calzaghe's resume would've looked a lot better and he would've been given more exposure earlier if Hopkins hadn't ducked him.
