Why is Hopkins' nickname "The Executioner"??

      Hopkins did not win the fight using his strength. I bet you didn't see any of the fights you mention.

          I just don't think his nickname suits him, that's all.

          A guy with the nickname "The Executioner" should destroy people.

          I guess he calls himself "The Executioner" because he bores people to death.

                      in tito's defense. he didn't train that hard for the fight. he took hopkins lightly. plus he was volunteering as a fireman in new york at the time and injured his back during recovery efforts. his fellow firemen took him out drinking the night before and he was hung over during the hopkins fight. a healthy , rested , properly trained , not hungover tito would've knocked out hopkins. bernard knows this and that's why he's been ducking tito and refused every effort by tito for a rematch.
