I don't really think that Oscar will fight Pac.
If Cotto beats Margarito that's probably who he'll fight.
As far as Pac is concerned, I wonder why nobody has really tried to make Pac-Mayweather. That could be a very interesting fight between two guys a little closer in weight, they could do it at 140.
That's a fight I'd love to see.

problem is, mayweather wouldn't " come down" to fight anybody.............
i'm tired of fighters hopping, skipping, and jumping around these weight classes, when there are very capable fighters in their own divisions......
i've been saying for the longest- DLH vs. PW, and the winner fights the winner of cotto-margarito. pac should fight nate campbell........

Originally posted by QUELOQUE View PostNo, you should think about it, they are trying to build up Pacquiao to look more of a threat than he is. The Cotto fight would be better for Cotto and his drawing power, and for boxing since I think he will win and stay fighting and make boxing more popular with more eyes on his fights. The Pacquiao fight will be mismatch and is a better farewell fight since he will most likely win, and also for Mexican's as De La Hoya will destroy the Mexican Assasin and probably ruin Pac.

Pac's retiring for real very soon, and with a semi-solid career plan that
barely fits into the time remaining... Pac's family certainly seems to be
putting pressure on him to quit.
If they DID match up, my money'd be on Money.

Come on Oscar, Retire already
I'm not a Cotto fan, but admit anybody who has half a brain knows that Cotto isn't one dimensional. I think this is a coward way of De La Hoya trying to get out of talks for a possible match with Cotto. Oscar should just retire, he has done enough for the sport of boxing. Fighting Pacquiao would just be embarrassing. It would be like when Bernard Hopkins fought De La Hoya. If anything, De La Hoya should fight Mosley and avenge his only consecutive losses to a fighter in his career.
