He has some solid names on his list. Remember, he is only 26.

        pavliks resume:
.taylor (undefeated before kelly beat him twice, beat hopkins and drew with winky)
.miranda (only Ko'd in 4 after pavlik knocked him out, some devastating KO wins)
        .zertuche (rugged, strong fighter)
. McKart (durable veteran, admittedly not great tho)

        Calzaghes resume:

.hopkins (old, but still tricky, arguably should have got a draw)
. kessler (in his prime, good skills but hadnt fought an elite before)
.manfredo (blown up welterweight, very overrated)
        .lacy (overrated, enough said)
        . Eubank (past prime)

on paper , their resumes are about even. and considering taylors performances prior to fighting pavlik, kelly might have the edge. and plus kelly has had 30 odd fights, cal has had 40 odd
        i'd say they're around even

Just no... because you say so? Anyone can pick apart ANY fighters resume if they try hard enough. The fact that you don't agree with it means ****. It's no different than you picking apart Pavlik.

What is it about Wladimir Klitchsko and Joe Calzaghe fans that makes them compulsively create threads attacking fighters resumes and describing fighters as hyped? No one hypes Pavlik, he earned whatever recognition he has and thats that. If your insecurities as a person lead you to name yourself after your favorite fighter and then defend him to the death on NSB you may want to sit down and rethink your life decisions.

This is lunacy. How many "rugged strong fighters" and "durable veterans" do you think Calzaghe has beaten? Reid, Mitchell, Brewer and Woodhall were all former world champs. Sheika and Veit were undefeated guys and these are just some of Joe's lesser wins. The fact you include Manfredo as one of Joe's top wins shows just how limited your perspective is, Sakio Bika is a better win, probably about on par with Miranda. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but really what you posted is ridiculous.

If someone tries hard enough they could pick apart just about any "great" or "good" boxer's resume to make it seem less then impressive. Maybe if a few examples of current fighters at or around pavlik's status that have had stellar careers...fighting way way more challenging comptetion then people around their rank, average competition, etc...every great fighter or, more applicable to pavlik "good" fighter tends to have a good amount of padding...it's how they do when they're faced with a real challenge that counts. So far dude had delivered where it counts.

It seems to me that pavlik is starting to get to that level where he's looking for some serious competition...more or less as deep into his career as a popular boxer usually does...I see nothing severely lacking...but he is starting to show people there may be something exceptional there when he steps up his game. Time will tell...why pick a fighter's career apart when they're not even close to done?

Kelly's resume is not as strong as Calzaghe's. Nor should it be, Calzaghe has been around a lot longer than Pavlik.

Kelly's resume is still good considering his age and level of exposure.

What Sir Joe posts everyday is just ridiculousThere was only one poster who made constant threads hating on Calzaghe and that was $in,now Sir Joe{Rickys ALT}has made numerous threads trashing Pavlik even when $in has retired from this forum.Everything that comes out of his delusional mind and on to the computer screen is complete biased opinions that hold no merit or any concrete thoughts.
