    Kelly Pavlik's resume

    Is it really that impressive?

Here are the biggest names Kelly has beat.

Jermain Taylor (yet to fight after Pavlik loss)
Edison Miranda (lost by KO in round 4, three rounds quicker than Pavlik loss)
Bronco McKart (has never won a title and fought at Light Middleweight, has 8 losses!)
Jose Luis Zertuche (lost by KO in round 7, one round quicker than Pavlik loss in his fight after Kelly)

I am yet to see anything in his "great" resume which would convince me he would beat the P4p #1, 21 Title defences and two weight champion Joe Calzaghe. Truth is, he was lucky Taylor had 2 belts because he's not going to win another one.

It seems like whenever a young american bursts on to the seen KOing people everyone is ducking him when really they are not that great.

Whats with the hate on Pavlik? He only turned pro 8 years ago. He also has a better resume than Calzaghe did when Joe first won the title.

Before he fought Taylor the first time, he stated that he was willing to fly to Wales to fight Calzaghe in his back yard. You just have to respect tough fighters like that who will fight anywhere and any time.

He knocked out Jermain Taylor. A guy who beat Bernard Hopkins twice and a guy that was 43 and gave Calzaghe life and death. Hes a very good champion. Calzaghe has never beaten a prime fighter that was on the pound for pound list. Pavlik would be a very big challange to his unbeaten record.

He's not going to be around as long as Calzaghe so that comparison is meaningless. Pavlik has 3-4 years at the top MAX with his style.

The hate stems from the fact the insecurity of the Calzaghe minions, and the fact that they continually try to deflect criticism away from Joe by trying to twist it, using another fighter as an example. I just had to contend with a question comparing Lennox to JC. See what I mean?

**** it, why do I even bother with these sad, sad ****s. I'm just wasting my time.
