there is several bars here in fresno that do the ufc fights and they are packed. UFC is definetely getting more popular than boxing in the states. I dont know if this is nation wide but the hooters here in fresno has every ufc fight and you need to get there like 2 hours before the fights start to think about getting a table.

I don't get the UFC craze at all. Watched a few fights now and all were boring bar one brutal ko (Jackon-Liddell).

In general UFC just seems like tougher kids version of WWE, apart from WWE's more entertaining. If boxing keeps on producing fights of the caliber of even the past couple of weeks (Pac-Diaz, Holt-Torres) then I don't think boxing is in trouble any time soon.

So I ended up watching the fight at the same bar I saw the PAC - Diaz PPV. Another difference I saw, was that MMA fights tend to attract a more diverse crowd.

In today's boxing, only DLH and the now retired Floyd could have fans showing to see a fight at a bar. But the UFC has had this trend going on for a few years now with various fighters.
the problem is there are way to many cowards in boxing but in mma you always get two guys going toe to toe.

both can survive but boxing is better.

notice that the best mma fights are when the fighters stand up and box.

Last Night was a good show, some good fights some boring ones and a finale that was ok! I thought Jackson won the fight and Griffin grabbing the mic and being followed backstage was to reminicent of wrestling. Also when watching the fight it kinda seems like a sparring session, Rampage didnt even throw any knees, and forrest didnt really brawl with Jackson...

Ill say this MMA is entertaining but you dont get as excited for there main events as in boxing Jackson V Griffin was like a mega fight being that the two are probley 2 of the top 5 money makers for the UFC... But when you look at say Cotto V Margarito that **** makes your stomach cringe at just the thougth them motha****ers are fighting in 2 weeks!
