The HBO crew have a responsibility to be unbiased, but at the same time they can let their own personal views go at will. That's been going on for years, and now Floyd is crying that he isn't getting praised as he believes he deserves, so all of a sudden that makes HBO racists?

LOL..as I've said before...Floyd needs the spotlight and if he's not going to get back in the ring he's going to find another avenue to let himself be heard whether its ****ting on the now P4P #1 fighter or calling the network that made his career racists.

It simply shows how infantile his mentality is. But chill, this is the dude Boxing should hold on a pedestal

Come back and fight or shut up.

HBO has given Floyd his respect and Floyd has continued to bull****, has continued to mock us true Boxing fans by patronizing us with a meaningless rematch and then retiring even before that could happen. the commentators are just acting upon the best interests of the fans, asking the questions that the fans want answered, saying the things that need to be said and questioning the questionable, you call it favoritism or racism but I call it analyzing and calling the bads and the goods because they don't ALWAYS cheap shot Floyd but then again Floyd as of late never fights the REAL fights out there, he doesn't necessarily NOT deserve whatever it is you saying the announcers say of him.

plain and simple the announcers are out for the best interests of the fans, they need to engage with the audience so they speak on issues regarding fighters and their present status in the sport, whatever moves they made and whatever they have planned. their job is not to be a robot and just say what you see it's also to attract, to command the action accordingly and enhance the excitement, they call the action but they also drop their points of views on these matters. these men are professionals, they took classes for talking on TV and have been doing this for YEARS literally, to question their validity sounds ****** enough especially when most of what they say is true, it may be harsh as **** but undeniably true.. regardless it shouldn't even matter to a fighter what a network thinks of you, your job is to do nothing other than fight so why are you worried what these individuals think of you?

Look What Good is it to listen to a broadcast If you know that it is bias...?

Would you go to Fox News TO GET a fair assesment of Barack *****..?

Do you think everything That The Bush Adminstration says about the war in Iraq is true or from thier Point of View...?

THey can not allow themselves to give so much of there opinion that it is perceive that they are actually rooting for one guy to lose.., when they are broadcasting a fight in which All fans are watching just not One fighters fans...

Like I said Before From a Fan Point of View, You are entitled to this opinion about a Floyd...

Because you pay to see him fight

You can be subjective..and bias in your opinion because you paid your hard working money.

But The HBO crew does not pay to see him fight....
They get paid to see him fight...

Therefore they have a responsibility to not call the fight as Fan, but as a Paid and Fair Commentator....

and the problem is, that they dont...

Like I said before They are Paid and have a responsibility to the sport to be FAIR COMMENTATOR'S, not AVID FANS.... SO any bias they have against certain fighters should be set aside as soon as they start calling the fight

The Point Floyd is Trying to Make is that, The HBO crew Calls His fights recently as if they want him to Lose...

The most biased commentator ever on HBO was Roy Jones. It was often obvious that he was biased towards one of the fighters. I will gladly provide examples. How come there were no complaints about him?

i think it's that they tend to go for the more humble of the two fighters, and while jt is a humble guy, he's had some victories that the media has been questioning. meanwhile, pavlik is the young up and coming fighter who also has great discipline and is trying to win over a strong fan base outside of youngstown. so they tend to root for the underdog, or the guy who has more of the nice guy image and less hip hop appeal. look how they used to talk about roy during his fights, and look at how they used to debate with roy when he was commentating with them, same with foreman. however, i do feel that they want to see PBF lose.

And being the Premiere Boxing Network, They should at Least Have the Perception that they dont care who wins the fight...But they dont...

YOU GET THE FEELING THAT THEY WANT TO SEE MAYWEATHER LOSE...

Thats why He feels it is Racism...Because They do not give off the Perception that they are netural...
Good post, maybe the best i've seen from you. You're absolutely right. But it's not just the HBO crew, the whole boxing industry and the hater fans CAN'T BEAR the thought Mayweather will remain undefeated, they are enraged when they think about it. All they want is Mayweather to return as an old man so they can have their way with him, NO MATTER WHO THE VEHICLE is, whether it is Hoya, Hatton, Cotto... Curiously enough no american black fighter is interesting as a vehicle for Mayweather's downfall, so you can say race is an important factor. Even more curious is the fact Cotto is himself a back man. Priceless is Cotto's fans claiming he isn't.
