You know what, I was really surprised when I found out that Mayweather never fought outside of the US. For some reason I thought he had.

Sorry to go a bit off topic.

lighten up people, im also european. U guys just assumed i was American cause you guys are so biased that you think an european can't talk bad about european fighters. I just say things the way i see them. I'm probably one of the most objective posters on this forum.

Yet is Mayweather was British, all you'd hear is "He's never faught outside Europe! Eurobum!".

anorak is right, usa is for now the meka of boxing. All the big money is there so of course fighters there won't fight outside their country. But i don't think Wales can be considerd the meka of boxing.

Joe Calzaghe has fought outside of his country, he lives in Wales, and fought most of his fights in England, and not always backed, sometimes even booed and spat at by fans when against an english fighter.

He's also fought in Denmark, Germany, and the US.

Thanks for exposing your cynical ignorance on a Brit fighter, I'm pleased to correct you.

Floyd Mayweather has genuinely never fought outside of America, along with many others.

Thanks for exposing your ignorance and bias.

I was being ironic, mate. I can understand the need for green, but I can't understand how "*****" factors into that equation.

Yes, but when Calzaghe was saying anyone can come and fight me in the UK. No American did, oh sorry Jeff Lacy tried and got his ass handed back to him with a free flight home.

I don't remember the last time there was a ********ic vote on a world issue with 4 options, each option majorly favouring one of those countries. That's because countries would vote for the option that favored themselves, and the country with the most ppl would win the total world count, lol. Why it doesn't happen.

American are the most biased by a landslide I'm afraid, with all due respect. I think if this poll didn't allow ppl from the 4 countries noted to vote only outside of them, it'd be a more relevent and accurate fair poll, and result be very different, probably show America the highest. I mean x5 the American vote just to counter the local voting in the poll.

America is regarded by many as the most ignorant and least exposed to world boxing, even Americans admit a serious minority know about fighters like Carl Froch, exposing local ignorance. Yet other countries a much higher ratio would know of someone at that level out of they're country. To the point Taylor may fight Lacy instead because he's a bigger name, someone whose been exposed as below that level and over hyped. There's been way more serious hype jobs with American belief and backing, then there has the contrary. Locket got a Lacy esk beating, difference being the British new was **** and didn't stand a chance, i.e, not biased.
Who do you think you are?The Mecca of boxing Knowledge? The all knowing wizard of boxing?Get out of here with that high and mighty attitude you arrogant ass. There are plenty of knowledgeable American posters on here who know vast amounts about boxing from 1918-2009.If I was to gauge my opinion of British posters based off of this sight they would seem to me as pompous pricks who can't form a complete sentence without the words Yanks in it.Boxing is a world sport but it's coverage is sometimes skewed to only certain locations by HBO or Showtime. You are forced to learn about American boxers as they will most likely will broadcasted over there. We on the other hand do not encounter as many foreign fighters on our boxing stations so our views may not be as vivid on the subject. If you took the time to look at the poll you would of noticed that some posters who voted for the British are not even American and the only posters who voted for Americans are British. All fans are biased towards their countryman and one group is just as biased as the next but to say Americans are the most ignorant fans is ignorance itself. As you are basing this off of anonymous internet users who could be Alts posing as Americans or a small select few of individuals that make up the minority.Americans love Mexican fighters Purto Rican fighters and even Ukrainian fighters. Not just our own fighters but all fighters
