Look, I believe Pac is a ring legend, yes. But last night's fight adds nothing to his legacy but a paper title & $50 bucks stolen from fans for a sparring session. No fan should be jumping up and down for that. They should be asking him when is he planning to face a fighter like Joan Guzman, who showed he deserved a shot after thoroughly kicking Humberto Soto's ass.
actually it did add to his legacy cause he's the only asian to win 4 titles in 4 different weight classes something no Mexican has ever done and we know how great mexican fighters are...

But I agree with you that he should be fighting the other titlists at 135 like Casamayor and Campbell. Pac don't need to fight Guzman or JMM if they can't win their upcoming fights.

Guzman? That's another story. Which is why you don't hear the top dogs mention his name.
Marquez lost 2 times to Pacq. The first time the judge admitted to scoring erroneously which cost Pacq the fight. The second time the knock down was the difference in a very close fight.

Yeah but why would anyone hype up winning four titles when you know that the fourth one was a paper belt? Yeah, on paper it looks good but we're boxing fans. And we shouldn't go around spewing it when we know it's BS.

It doesn't matter where "The Ring" ranked David Diaz, he ****** balls. His performance against a beat up Morales was pathetic. And he was practically handed that title just so Pacquiao could take it away from him.So what do you get? A $50 sparring session.

I won't hype that up. At least you agree that he needs to fight the other guys. Guzman won't go away - he'll win his next fight.

Well that's one way to look at it. Another is to point out that the judge you're referring to probably erroneously scored another round as well if that point made all the difference. The first fight was the epitome of a draw. In fact, if not for that first round, Pacquiao loses a pretty one-sided decision.

And the second fight was close, we agree. People are split on the decision but Manny got the win. No robbery there.

I think the people around Pac, like Bob Arum will try to clean-up the 135lb division... and that's the way it should be... clean it up...
But, the thing is... Pac's wife said after the fight when she was interviewed, Pac is planning to fight two more times and contemplating on retiring...
            But I doubt it...
He should fight Campbell, Casamayor (after disposing JMM), Guzman (if he's capable of winning convincingly) and if Valero gets the nod of Nevada move up to LW...
Then fight Hatton... if he's still available...
When he was interviewed he can still fight at 140lbs his fighting limit... there's no way his going to 147lbs, as he mentioned during his interview... he'll get killed there at 147lbs...

I actually agree with you. I saw Ortiz many times, every time he was on TV, and saw both Elorde fights, and others he had. The standards of both Elorde and Ortiz were, in my opinion, higher.

You are wrong, Manny would not have lost a one-sided decision. He won several of the other rounds, including the second, in which he dealt out nearly as much punishment as in the first.

Well that's the good fight that everyone of us here want to happen..

Guzman the great dominican a KO artist in 122lbs well great record, but going up to 126 and 130lbs he is nothing at all. becasue this guy is just a paper No 1 mandatory challenger without defeating in KO in his 126 & 130 campaign in his past fights, he keeps winning becasue he keeps running just like what he did in the Soto fight. Soto deserved the win in that bout. now Guzman forgot his VISA, vacate his 130 and ignore Alex Arthur the Mandatory Challenger of his WBO crown and went up to challenges Nate, well Winner vs winner Pacman is waiting for that guy.
JMM first fight with the Pacman, JMM who kiss the canvas for 3times was a draw becasue of erratic score of 1 judge, a simple way of roberry that taken from Pacman the crown. second fight SD well no question about that it was a very close one, but for the 3rd fight will come soon and JMM will be send to dreamland totally by licking the canvas, and telling to himself what I've done wrong to my career.
Pacman will soon conquer Britain next........

                  Hatton, prepare...... Khan Prepare.......
That's the message of Coach FR to all of you guys.
