Perfect ass whippin by Pac. He's got a belt, but now it's time for him to take on one of the other champs and unify. Guzman would probably be his biggest threat at LW. JMM has been his toughest test, but we gotta see against Casa how credible he is at LW. I think JMM will win that fight, and hopefully we get the trilogy.

        ??

Flash Elorde the best, Diaz cant compare to the quality of Carlos Ortiz, one of the greatest 135lbs ever, Ortiz would have given Pacquiao a boxing class full of leather in his face and ribs..plus fights were at 15 rds. Elorde the best..

First of all Guzman doesn't have a belt and JMM has already lost twice to Pacman whether it was close to call or not, there is no need to fight a guy you've beaten twice. Most likely he will defend against a beatable guy and moe up to 140 to go get hatton

Valero wouldn't really classify as a "stay busy" fight but it is a winnable bout that could get Pac some dough until he faces Hatton in the biggest fight of 09

I can't believe someone would actually write something like this, with that kind of title.

Hey buddy...he was fighting David Diaz. The double-standard with Pacman (as opposed to a Mayweather) is disgusting.

I know some of you got caught up in some weigh-in pics and Diaz's tough talk but let me remind you: David Diaz is, at best, average.

Yes, I know he had a title...who cares? The fighter makes the belt, not vice versa. How did he attain this belt (don't think too hard)?

Did you see his performance against Erik Morales? It was quite pathetic...I couldn't believe that a shot Morales - and I mean SHOT - was able to find a chump like this to beat up on AND nearly claim a belt. Scary.

If you can barely get by a washed up Morales, you are definitely going to get your ass kicked by Manny Pacquiao. This was a decent first fight at 135. But the belt was a paper one. Even worse...they put it on pay-per-view.

Imagine if Mayweather-Sharmba Mitchell had been on pay-per-view. I mean...how would you feel? But the double standard continues.

I like Manny. And I believe he is no worse than 1a on the p4p list. He's already a Hall of Famer; a modern day Azumah Nelson who goes into any backyard, kicks your ass and leaves his own countryman in a frenzy. But he just fought a chump on pay-per-view. Cong**** on the win. But I'm not going to slob your knob.

Pac is a Ring Legend... the only Asian boxer to win 4 titles in 4 different weight classes... not even the very best Mexican like Morales, JCC, Barrera, etc... could do that.

Actually you could make a case that Morales did - he certainly deserved the decision against David Diaz; and that was for this title. And that was a dead version of Morales.

Look, I believe Pac is a ring legend, yes. But last night's fight adds nothing to his legacy but a paper title & $50 bucks stolen from fans for a sparring session. No fan should be jumping up and down for that. They should be asking him when is he planning to face a fighter like Joan Guzman, who showed he deserved a shot after thoroughly kicking Humberto Soto's ass.

Actually, Marquez lost only once to Pacquiao. And most ringsiders thought he won that one.

But I agree, Pacquiao shouldn't fight him again. He'd KO him this time...just a hunch.

Guzman? That's another story. Which is why you don't hear the top dogs mention his name.
