I refuse to respect any Boxing writer who say one man is scared of another. There the same People that said Leonard was ducking Pryor, Jones was ducking Michalczewski, Floyd was ducking Cotto/Marg etc..

It's bull****, anyone who steps in the ring is putting their Health on the line and taking punches for a living.

Pavlik is tailor made for Calzaghe. It would be Lacy version 2. Only slightly closer.

Then we'd get to hear the same yanks tell us how Pavlik was "overrated anyway".

The only difference is, Lacy's chin is granite while Pavlik has a suspect chin.

I would expect an easy mid-round TKO. Calzaghe is just too good for Pavlik.

Just last year Max Kellerman himself said on HBO that Calzaghe was "ducking Kessler by trying to fight a smaller Taylor." The same was said by everyone after JC had to postpone the Lacy fight when he broke his hand. Then when JC steps in the ring and dominates both they instantly become "overrated" just as Pavlik, Dawson etc no doubt would become. Isn't that bloody convenient for the yanks?

Tremendously. To be honest I'm surprised they still haven't learned their lesson. Each and every Calzaghe killer gets sent home with his tail between his legs and they still say exactly the same **** about the next guy that comes along. It would be funny if it wasn't so annoying.

I find it amazing too that they find it so hard to admit that he is good. The pathology of literally ignoring what is right in front of your eyes is quite fascinating to me.

You assume this is an American British thing.. Its not. I like Ricky Hatton. Also, I never said Kessler was overrated. Jeff Lacy was overrated. Finally.. Kelly Pavlik "could beat" Calzaghe - He beat a 154 journeyman @ Middleweight and now he's the man.

Taylor never landed flush on Spinks though. That little prick (Spinks) was here, then he was there, then he was over there. Taylor barely threw anything at him, whereas he threw everything at Kelly, because Kelly was wobbled.

And Judah has some serious pop too, even now. He nearly took Cotto's head the **** off with that uppercut.

So then by your standards, I'm saying Joe Calzaghe has a "suspect chin" as well..........

Why? Well he got dropped on his ass (see avatar) by a 43 year old, natural Middleweight at Light Heavyweight, who was never considered a powerful puncher in the first place.

he gets back up everytime. You can get dropped once every round if you get back up and bury the other man in the canvas. Good Luck fighting Calzaghe waste his last fight against a completely washed up shell of his formerself Jones Jr.
