Look @ their recent records and you will see the difference.. one has stayed active and continued to fight and the other has gotten fat and lazy.. that's another difference. Also, Shane was ranked in the top 5 @ welterweight when Cotto fought him.. De La Hoya wasn't even ranked top 10.
And no one is saying Shane is a great win for Cotto but @ this stage in his career its a good win. You forget that Mayweather started his career 6 years before Cotto and Cotto started his in 2001.

you really do have a peanut for a brain..

I don't care about their recent records. I only care about how shane and dlh fought cotto and floyd. Both shane and dlh did very well in those fights before they faded.

Da DLH Dilemma...he needs a big name for his last fight as he wants 2 go out wit a ****...every big name from his era is old now so its almost pointless going after dem for his last ever fight e.g trinidad as he wants the fight 2 be memorable not a OAP slugfest...every big fighter now is either too busy and unrealiastic e.g pacquaio & hatton. and the ones that are big names and can possibly fight will will systematically destroy him unless he begins trainin from now and god is on his side e.g cotto, margarito, winky (yeah i said winky)..so what is he to do with his last fight 2 end a golden era and 2 go out wit a ****..i don't think anyone really knows what 2 do with this situation

I have a peanut for a brain, and you just told a flatout lie to the boards. Dlh WAS ranked in the top 10 at Junior Middleweight. Why would you even post a lie like that? Just to blow Cotto's win up over Mosley? Man, I hve encountered some posters who will do or say anything just because it is the internet, but this is ridiculous. You had to be talking about welter, or you forgot that they fought at middleweight.

If there are no takers to fight DLH, he just better retire... he has nothing to prove... he has his millions... and maybe billions...

tito was great in his prime, but now he should be banned from fighting. I hate his ****ing attitude and approach to the game. The guy smells money and jumps out there.
