Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham... Who wins?

Did u see the Kingsley Ikeke fight? Kingsley is 6 4 and never been out. Arthur destroyed him.

There is a difference between lanky and big and strong. Pavlik has thudding blows, you can't discount the fact that Pavlik is the strongest puncher undoubtedly that AA has seen, and with his work rate there can be some serious pain involved with a strong fighter who hits the body.

Abraham is better defensively, has concussive power (pavlik is no slouch either)
Pavlik is better offensively with his workrate and jab
From what I've seen they both have great heart and composure, Abraham's chin is better because he took bombs from Miranda with a broken jaw, Pavliks isn't bad either though.

Pavlik has the better technical skill and amazing workrate....They are pretty much even in the power department....They both have good chins and big hearts.....Abrahams problem is that he only fights in spurts....Pavlik punches non stop...Abraham can't beat Pavlik by decision with his low workrate, he needs a knockout to win.....I'd take Pavlik by UD or late TKO in a war.

I think that is Abraham's strength; fighting Miranda tonight, he employed his tight defense and easily gave away the first two rounds. By this strategy, he let Miranda get comfortable and then started picking his shots and exploded when he knew he had his opponent hurt....

My point is, Kelly Pavlik better not get too lackadaisical with his punches that he leaves himself wide open for the right or left hook...

I don't think that I scouted Abraham enough and was caught up in the Miranda hype. Judging from tonight's performance, I give Abraham a slight edge over Pavlik...

Lol my basis for what I said was to prove my point that AA only has a punchers chance. Kelly is far superior in constant pressure, movement, jab, straight accurate punches, reach, height, power etc. etc. Everyone doubted KP in the Miranda fight, everyone doubted him in the JT fight and then the rematch. AA has NEVER faced off against a Kelly Pavlik before. I'll let Kelly tell you guys the rest of the story when they meet and it ends when Kelly KO's him in the 9th. I just don't see AA having anything more than a punchers chance.

AA has a lot more than the standard puncher's chance. The manner in which he throws and uses his defense automatically puts him well above a puncher's chance. It's not like he's Ricardo Torres w/ some mediocre defense, chin, and stamina who will throw bombs as his only way to win.

Pavlik has solid defense, but the bulk of his defense comes from his offense. That will count for a lot less against a guy in AA who has a great chin and very good defense.

His defense will allow Kelly to take round after round while systematically wearing him down and not letting him get within range to hurt him. If he indeed wants to slug it out, Kelly is faster, slicker and will win that exchange 8/10 times. Don't forget who you are comparing AA too here fellas - Kally Pavlik has the best KO ratio of ANY middleweight champ ever.
