And Calzaghe isn't? Calzaghe doesn't rely on technical ability or power either, Calzaghe relies on his athletic ability.

I don't give Terrible much credit for this thread.

Yeah, taylor was overrated, miranda...he'll never beat anyone elite, and locket was a bum. Don't turn Pav into gerry cooney jr. He has much more to show us in the future. He has to earn his. Arthur Abraham will be a problem for Pav. And the math don't add up when you talk about what Pav did to miranda, and what some might say AA didn't do to Miranda, because both won.
i aint talking about other fighters yes other fighters have padded their record but we are talking about Calzaghe at the moment
whoever u are talking about though it is still wrong ,well not wrong i just think he deserves the credit he is gonna get for taking this fight
same as Lennox v Tyson etc

If Roy comes to the fight with the mindset of wanting to win, wanting to redeem himself and be in the spotlight one last time then I think his footwork, hand speed and sheer accuracy will be able to pick apart Calzaghe. I'm not going to predict a KO, but people forget Jones Jr. does have power and a KO can come.
The only hitch I can see in Roy's gameplan is, as someone pointed out, he likes to hang around the ropes with a Winky-esque type defense. This will not work against Calzaghe. He throws too many damn punches, and if he corners Roy and lets go there might be a stoppage as we've seen many times in Calzaghe fights. Just an overwhelming volume of punches that don't neccessarily hurt an opponent, but cause the ref to jump in.
Overall, being a Roy Jones fan and wanting to see him on the top one last time... I hope he wins.
