Im not giving Calzaghe much credit if he beats Jones TBH

Im not giving Calzaghe much credit if he beats Jones TBH i think Hopkins put up a better fight than Roy will ,Calzaghe might lose a few of the early rounds but he will still beat Roy IMO ,Hopkins had more left in the tank than Jones

    Jones got beat by

    2004 Antonio Tarver L
    2004 Glen Johnson L
    2005 Antonio Tarver L
    2006 Prince Badi Ajamu
    2007 Anthony Hanshaw

Its 2008 now and the fight aint even been sighned yet and he is nearly 40 years Old FFS ,Jones has been hurt or slightly hurt in all of those previous fights

      ehh..
I CAN agree to a certain extent..
I don't think Roy is exactly shot to pieces. Hes crafty, but nowhere near his former self
Prime Roy would absolutely humiliate Joe no ifs ands or buts. It wasn't a pickem fight if it were prime for prime..

Now, Joe has the ability to give Roy fits because of his activity. Roy sits on the ropes with his Winky like defense and gets pounded.. Roy is still faster than JC in spurts but he doesnt throw many combos..

I am pulling for a Jones win.. I expect a close UD for JOE.

I think Joe will get KD sometime throughout the fight..

I'd give him some credit but not too much credit. Jones isn't totally shot, he still has his handspeed and has a few tricks up his sleeve.

I think Jones has enough left to give Calzaghe a good fight.

im puling for Jones i just dont think he will win though

Joe Calzaghe may not hit that hard these days but IMO his accuracy is good enough to take this version of Roy out

thats the thing i dont think Roy is crafty and that is why he has had little success in the latter part of his career he has adapted his style more recently but it has taken losses to Tarver ,Johnson and a step down the ladder against Prince Badi ,Hanshaw to achieve that

Roy is not good at tying people up now and never has been IMO ,he is not a crafty enough fighter to negate his age like a Bernard Hopkins

debatable who won that Calzaghe fight aswell Hopkins was 3 years older than Jones to

thats like saying whos style is more conducive to fighting into the mid 30's Floyd Mayweather or Miguel Cotto

Floyd is crafty enough to fight well into his 30's because of his style
