I'm so tired of fans treating these boxers like prima donnas. Boxing is a business to the promoters, the networks, the handlers, the press, etc. PPV fights should not and will not determine whom should fight whom.

Williams doesn't need to "get his PPV Game up". He needs to beat mother****ers in the head with his fists until they fall down. Hes a boxer.

Money's temperamental ass has everyone thinking that the boxers should fight according to PPV buys only. Well after following that mandate Floyd lost a lot of fans and a place in p4p top 10 of all time among those that matter in the boxing world.

So please, the next time you want to make a thread stating something like this, do not.

Turn your computer off, brush your tooth, and sleep on it.

Yes Cotto did but does Floyd need Cotto? NO!

hopefully there's enough money in the pot for cotto/williams... another potential problem is that williams fights on showtime and cotto fights on hbo... hopefully the fight will transcend that.

So you're down with the winner of Cotto/Tony fighting Williams next?
yeah, i think that would be a dope fight. The thing about the winner of Tony/Cotto is that they are certified to fight the biggest challenges out there.

So say for example, Oscar steps in and wants to fight the winner, I would be ok with that because im confident that either Tony or Cotto would take on Williams or another top 10 Welterweight after that fight.

But if it were up to me, Id make that fight because its the kind of fight Boxing needs. Mayweather kept the sport stagnant with his quest for money, which is fine, but he showed no interest in taking on challenges.

but if say Cotto (i say cotto because i am a bigger fan of his than Margo), fights DLH, then Mayorga or Hatton, then I'll be posting side by side with you criticizing him because he'd be doing the same **** that Floyd was doing and not helping the sport.

Now we'll just here a lot more of "I'll fight whoever my management puts in front of me." It just so happened that Floyd was his own management.
Obsessed huh? Funny **** homey. Point is that all the other top WW's are hungry for glory, not just money. There'll be enough demand for these guys to fight each other that the fighters will make decent coin and no one will care about who draws and all that bull****. Assumin he's really gonna quit, I fully expect you and the rest of Floyd's ****riders will keep defendin him for not fightin his top challengers to the bitter end. But let's not turn this into a typical PBF thread. It's about Williams gettin his shot at bein elite, and he will sooner or later.

I wouldn't be too quick on this Cotto fighting anyone b.s. After Williams dominated Margarito, Arum didn't want any of his fighters going near him. Which is why we saw Quintana fight him in the first place, not to mention Cintron pussed out.

If Cotto doesn't learn to block an uppercut we'll be seeing a Willams/Tony rematch.

Cotto has a fatal flaw that plays into Tony's hands

He keeps his left elbow ****ed away from his ribs..leaving him wide open for bodyshots and uppercuts.

Tony can easilly rig an uppercut that will fit in that gap..or a nasty bodyshot.

I can't make a call on this fight.
