watch mosleys fight with de la hoya then watch one of his previous fights.............. mosley looked like the crackhead i cought stealing my car stereo.
BTW, another fighter than I have questions about (prolly earlier in his career)? Ricky Hatton.
Why? His fitness trainer is Kerry Kayes, who was a pro bodybuilder and , thus, a heavy steroids user. His trainer, Billy Graham, seems WAY too comfortable with needles (remember 24/7?). And after coming to the US where we have better post-fight drug testing, Hatton's performances conveniently declined.
In court papers filed in San Francisco, convicted steroid dealer Victor Conte and Shane Mosley's former trainer Deryl Hudson both testified that Shane Mosley was on illegal perfomance-enhancing steroids when he beat Oscar De La Hoya in 2003. Mosley has admitted being on the juice but thought he was injecting legal supplements. Mosley then sued Conte for defamation. As part of court submissions in that lawsuit, both Hudson and Conte testified that they saw Mosley take the drug EPO after he was told about the benefits and effects of steroids.
I think Mosely would have beaten Oscar, steroids or not, they did him no good, only made him slower. Just because it was Oscasr he needed a clear victory. Look at their first fight, Mosely was all over him, won easily, yet had to settle for a split d.
As for Trinidad, Oscar LOST. If Trinidad had caught up with him he'd have kiled himin the ring. Oscar was finished from the seventh on. He took a massive belt in the kishkes in the middle of the fifth, and from then on began to slow down. I think that Trinidad's extreme relentless pressure wore him down, since every time Trinidad caught up with him, he dealt him a hefty wallop, so Oscar knew what was in store if he stopped for a rest.
Not saying that Oscar wasn't very good, he was, as good -almost- as Mosely, at his best.

Being told about the "benefits and effects" doesn't mean that he knew this particular drug was illegal.
As ANY NORMAL fighter would, Mosely, according to him, specifically enquired as to the legality of the stuff, and was assured that WAS LEGAL. That's what he says, and don't forget that he was being assured of this by his coach Hudson, who'd been talking about this stuff all the time and urging him to get it. At least that's what I make of the information being published. It's entirely logical and reasonable.
I CAN'T imagine anyone with half a brain, of Mosely's position and reputation, as well as wealth, taking it knowing it was illegal, and PARTICULARLY in front of witnesses, instead of taking it home in privacy.
IF he did do as his felon accusers say, then he is lacking in even average mental capacity. And SO IS HIS WIFE because she MUST have known where he was going and what he intended to do and organizes and runs everything for him. So...until compelling evidence emerges, I tend to believe him. It's the ONLY logical explanation.
