I didn't find it reasonable or convincing. And I suggested the point that, if they were going after the suppliers (BALCO) then, Conte, as President of BALCO could be faced with extra charges,(along with his executive). THEREFORE, it would be much in his interest, to give incriminating evidence against others-specifically Mosely.

This seems a reasonable assumption to me.

PLEASE READ MY LETTERS, and also recall what you, yourself have written.

But you haven't addressed the question of why Shane - WHO IS AN ADMITTED HEALTH NUT AND LIVES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA - was a client of Balco in the first place. Who travels 400 miles to get "vitamins". Shane lives in the bodybuilding capital of the world. Here's the answer: he went to get the new undetectable ****.

Shane had been in training and in gyms his whole life. He knows what "needles" mean. Nobody is injecting vitamins. Cut the Bambi routine.

So far, from what I read, the kind of evidence that was against Jones is not present in the Mosely case. Of course it may surface. We can only wait and see. I'd assume that if the government proceeds against Mosely, they would have the evidence.

I get the feeling that you don't read my letters properly.
Just a question on this matter I neglected. By "copped a plea" I have always understood that this is a situation where someone pleads guilty to a LESSER OFFENCE so as to get a lesser sentence. And that this saves the govenrment a perhaps long, expensive trial, and gives them a CERTAIN conviction which is the proseutor's main goal.

Otherwise an accused can plead guilty and ask for the mercy of the court, and perhaps get a lesser sentence. But this, in my understanding, is not"copping a plea". I haven't read many American crime novels.

AM I WRONG?? If so I'm glad to be corrected. But if I'm correct, then this is (more) misstatement on your part.

I understand that vitamins can be and are injected. Also I didn't know that Mosely contacted BALCO, although, if he did, as he says, it was at Hudson's constant urging that he use the drug. I was not aware that he travelled 400 miles to BALCO specifically to get these drugs. Could it have been that he was making appearances in the area, or perhaps training there?? Any sensible person would arrange an acceptable reason for being there, in case of needing to explain it. THAT IS, if he KNEW they were illegal.

If both Conte and Hudson say they watched Mosely inject himself that shows that Hudson also travelled there, and Mosely says that it was Hudson who kept telling him that he needed this drug.

NOBODY seems to wonder why Mosely would (as you say) travel 400 miles to pick up a drug (which could be couriered to him for $20) and then immediately inject himself with it in their presence if he KNEW it was illegal. Especially when he could have done it in private. Surely his wife, who manages all his matters, would have known about this intention and told him to BRING IT HOME.

ALSO no one seems to have noticed that the article reports that Mosely has a defamation suit against Conte for these allegations.

AND, the article says that HUDSON SAYS that Mosely ADMITTED to him that he had known they were "illegal performance enhancing drugs". To elicit an "admission" indicates that Hudson was questioning him about it. Unless "mentioned" should have been used instead of "admitted".

Is he a "body building" freak or a "fitness" freak. In his business the former is detrimental and the latter very beneficial. He often has been reported as saying that he loves to exercise in the gym. Yes I recall that he was rather proud of the amount of weight he could press.

In the days when boxing gyms were for boxers only, I knew a guy who used to come down 3 times a week regularly without fail, for years before I began boxing. He'd skip, punch the bags, do exercises etc. knew all the moves and punches, but never sparred in the ring with anyone. Never, just came down for the exercise. He was easily 12 years older than the rest of us. In fact not long before our club closed up, we held a tournament in the local stadium, and being "short-handed" persuaded him to fight a guy from another club. It was his first and last fight.

This is unfortunate to hear, Shane is my favorite boxer. Hopefully it's not true...
