Its not biasness, its called hate, the same thing many on these boards have. Its actually the highest form of flattery, because there is no real absolute merit behind it. Floyd hasnt done anything to Merchant to make the hate or biasness valid so therefore in actuality as with all forms of flattery, Merchant is in a sense jealous of Floyd, wishes he could do what Floyd does and admires him, but wont show it in a congratulatory way so therefore whats really in his heart comes out in his interviews.

If you watch after the Hatton fight before Floyd walks over to them, outside the ring stood Stewart, Lampley and Merchant speechless for awhile with sick looks on their faces, they so had hoped and thought Floyd might lose that fight and it was so apparent the dislike they have for him, not so much Lampley though, he is a seasoned, schooled broadcaster who knows youre not supposed to show biasness when broadcasting. I bet it hurts when you blatantly discredit a fighter doing a broadcast and they constantly keep winning and then you have to interview them, funny stuff.

yes he is u only gotta listen to his interviews after the Baldy fight or his pre fight interview before the Bruseles fight where he makes a sarcastic comment about PBF beating on his ex ,what about the biasedness her showed during the Castillo 1 fight

the only other more biased person is Jim Lampley when it comes to Oscar Del a Hoya he ****in loves Oscar

Larry isnt afraid to say what most of us are thinking about Floyd. I think its funny that if you dislike Floyd you must be jealous and want to be him or you are a "hater". That is oversimplifying the hell out of the situation. Sometimes you dont like how someone fights. Sometimes you dont like how they present themselves. Sometimes you think someone is bad for the sport. Sometimes you wish someone would respect the sport enough to fight the best and not pretend to retire every other year to get attention.

Personally I think Manny Steward dislikes Floyd tons more. Larry was really disrepectful at the Castillo 1 interview because a lot of people actually did have it for Mayweather ringside and it was a clear bout on who won.

Merchant's actually pretty complimentary of Floyd as a fighter. Even after the Baldomir fight which was dull, Merchant said "no room for perfection" which was still giving Mayweather credit (it was what a promoter said about Harold Johnson in the 1950s).

Merchant does take cheap shots towards Mayweather, like when he made a joke about Floyd's domestic abuse charges. I can't imagine him taking cheap shots at DLH's **** accusations or Mosley's steroid use.

HBO in general hate Mayweather. Merchant in particular as this whole "nobility of boxing" thing going on and I don't think Mayweather fits into it very well.

They are right however, because he is a tool.
