Cotto can box em but not all night long he will have to fight at times and i for 1 having watched all cotto's fights dont think he will have a problem doing that! He can hold his own with Tony on the inside no question and Tony while relentless and Strong is crude and wild so Cotto's so called sub par defence aint gonna be getting peirced like it would by a precise accurate sharpshootere like Floyd. The uppercut worrys me tho i must confess.

ALL my points on Cotto to win, who wants some? PM me.

Another thing, i can see this going the distance because Tony is solid, real tough but he aint ****in Superman he HAS been down before and he has been hurt 1 of those KD's came from a body shot and lets face it thats Cotto's bread and butter! So a stoppage for Miguel isnt as crazy as some would have u beleive but i do see it going the distance

This is a non question to me. But we must have different views of how durable Cotto is. I'm all over those milli-pauses and scrunched up expressions when he gets tagged. His brain is saying "error, error."

Like I've said in the past; Cotto is a brilliant improvisational actor in the ring. He's fantastic at playing it off when he's buzzed or hurt. Margarito doesn't know how to let somoene dance away and play it cute. Cotto is gonna get jumped. This is a horrible style matchup. Horrible.

I agree Cotto is a fighter with the mentality of a Boxer. He knows all about retreat and rolling out if he feels he has to. But his instinct to seperate defense and offense into two different categories will cost him dearly against Margarito. Landing a few cute looking jabs and posing for the crowd on Mosley isn't my idea of fighting backwards in the mode he would have to against a Margarito. No chance.

What do we have to suggest Margarito won't be active? Or landing? He's extremely accurate as a puncher and always has been, and Cotto is extremely easy to hit with the right hand. Like I've said in the past quoting Ring ****zine; hitting Cotto with a right hand is like hitting a billboard with a snowball.
**** my life Addison. You've broken this fight down better than anyone on this forum. Your observation of Cotto separating defense and offense is spot on. I've noticed that before in alot of his fights. The only thing you haven't taken into account is their records and quality of opposition. To me thats what essentially led him to dominate Quintana and Gomez and beat Paulie up. That really is what I'm going to hang my hat on in hopes that Cotto will beat Marg. Don't think he will because of the completely wrong style match up but here's to hoping.

What happens when Cotto starts getting nailed with hard punches and combos? His offense sounds great. What about his defense - is he Willie Pep now? This slight alleged disparity in abilities does not add up to the kind of distance required to totally outclass your opponent. Not between these two.

Honestly, I'm wondering about stuff like this.
Yes to the bolded. He doesn't need to fight like May or Whitaker, because he's so much better offensively. Cotto will land his faster, more accurate combinations and reduce Marg's workrate

What good would a Cotto win be if Addison didn't have to post after it? This is a tradition.
