Cotto doesn't look sluggish or worn down or severely faded in any fights. He boxed for about 2 1/2 rounds at the end of the Mosley fight but he was still throwing sharp punches.

Chad Dawson-Glen Johnson, Paul Williams-Margarito, Hatton-Collazo, Taylor-Hopkins those are fighters that were worn down.

Cotto gets rocked and comes back just as strong.
Cotto's durability was on a bus back to Puerto Rico by the 10th round in his fight with Mosley. He takes constant breaks, reacts horribly when hit flush.. We'll be seeing about all this you're talking about. ^ Throwing sharp punches while you're almost getting knocked through the ropes and backpeddling at high speed doesn't add up to jack ****, my friend.

Most judges don't seem to acknowledge body punches unless they create a knockdown or visibly double a guy over in pain. I don't see Cotto breakin thru Tony's chin, but if he can get to his body strongly enough to do damage in close quarter exchanges he might be able to get a decision. Thing is I don't see a Cotto KO at all, and I'm sure Tony knows any close rds will go to Cotto so he'll throw so many shots there won't be that many of em. Cotto's gonna have to outbox Tony to win on points and I don't think that'll happen cuz I expect an all out brawl. And once again I can't see him stoppin Tony either so it looks like Cotto's a beaten man to me. I'm sure this will be a FOTY candidate and I respect him too much to say Tony will one sidedly destroy him, but I'm feelin the spirit of this post; Cotto ain't winnin this ****in fight.

          Co-sign.

He is going to have to fight like Mayweather did against Hatton. Box and move, box and move... except there will be no slowing down period in the late rounds for Margarito. He is going to have to box and move to a fairly boring decision.

If Cotto wins, this fight won't be nearly as exciting as it is billed to be.

OMG, except there is no possible way Cotto can Box like ****ing Mayweather. When you guys talk like this it scares me. It really does.

But Cottos resume ****s all over Margarito's and has fought the tougher competition of the two. I think Margarito would have look ****** against Shane Mosely. But thats just my opinion so don't get upset marg fans.
For one doesn't matter if Cotto has more power becuz so did Cintron. You can throw w/e u'd like at Margarito and he'll still keep coming forward. What I seem to notice here, Is that everyone is overating Cotto's defense. Cotto has Ok defense not that good.Cotto is in no position to be taking hits when you've got a chin that weak. And trust me when I tell this, Margarito will hurt Cotto and Cotto won't hurt Margarito BUT HEY! What hurts Margarito?? Cotto is gonna have to box this guy but as we all know Margarito throws the must shots and has a reach advantage. I seriosly don't see Cotto winning this one.

Cotto is Tony's nightmare. Cotto can outbox Tony. No he isn't Mayweather, but im sure Cotto can box and jab his way to victory. If they are forced to fight, I personally think Cotto's punches will land first. Fight probaly might be stopped. Cotto can lose by KO if he gets ****y or doesn't respect Tony.

That's not what I said Addison.

I said he was going to have to move like Mayweather did while using his jab... not have a Mayweather boxing clinic against Margarito.

Basically, he is going to have to avoid inside fighting, exchanges, etc.

And he is going to have to counterpunch like a beast in order to try to hold Tony off.

I do think Cotto has the power to at least make Margarito slow down a bit, and be a bit more wary of coming straight at him 100% at all times.

Men your hate for Cotto does not let you see far from you nose. All of those arguments your making about Margarito being this and being that, are based on what fights. Because besides the " wins against Cintron (a B class fighter) and Clottey, he havent had a win against a top guy. The other 2 importants fights in Margaritos Career where Santos and Williams and he lost to both. Cotto has face much tougher opposition. And in every fight he has gotten better. Out performing his opponent. You are just hoping that Margo lands a Lucky punch a Ko Cotto. But Cottos movement, speed, power and Smartness wil be to much for MArgo to overcome. Margarito just comes forward throwing looping punches most of the time. And he is not good at all fighting backwords. He maybe hit Cotto and maybe buzz him every now and then but he wont come close to a victory.
