How Exactly Can Cotto Win?

I can't wait for this fight. Knowing the hilarious **** that is going to be said by either the cotto or margarito nuthuggers makes this fight that much more exciting. I'm kind of rooting for Cotto to win by either by UD or 7th round KO just to see Addison's reaction(Not saying you are a Margarito nuthugger). Honestly though, I can't call this fight and won't even attempt to.

There is such a disparity in skill between these two guys in all sincerity that it’s kind of pointless to say Cotto is going to get knocked out. All you guys have at this point is Margarito with a puncher’s chance and let us be honest when the hell has Margarito punched like say Julian Jackson or George Foreman? The answer is never Margarito is not a one-punch knockout artist. He wears down opponents and after accumulation of punches he takes them out much like Cotto accept the difference is that Cotto has far more abilities than Margarito. This difference is going to be the deciding factor so Cotto is going to win regardless of what Margarito brings to the table. Let’s not forget that finally Cotto is sure of himself after defeating Mosley and that newly found confidence is what we saw against Alfonso Gomez. I hate to say this but Margarito is a harder more durable Alfonso Gomez. Yes he can punch and it relentless but the boxing abilities he possesses is far less from Cotto’s. I respect Margarito but in this fight he’s bringing a knife to a gunfight, and if he brings a gun Cotto will continue bringing something far more effective every time. Cotto has the ability to change game plans in the middle of the fight, which is what makes him far the better boxer. Margarito is a pressure fighter that doesn’t know anything but pressure. Cotto can switch his style on a dime and that is what was seen against Mosley. Not because Mosley was hurting Cotto but because Mosley, the veteran that he is switched his game plan on four separate occasions and Cotto being a stellar fighter adapted his game plan on four separate occasions as well, which is why he won the fight. Point blank and simple Cotto will be able to fight different plans and Margarito remains constant. Margaritos inability to change his fight plan will be his outdoing but again that’s because Cotto is the superior boxer at this point of his career and only improves with every outing.

Take me through it in technical terms, because when threads got made referring to Cotto's ability to stand up to pressure, and Cotto's chin, there were non answers and tounge in cheek responses. Some Cotto supporters have already stepped forward and said they can't pick him. It's reality time.

Everytime I think of this fight I can't help but think of the Marg Clottey fight. And how clottey owned his ass for the lst half of the fight and then basically quit from his injured hand.

Cotto will win this fight but it will be a night from hell, that will do more for his legacy then anyone will guess. Marg has had way more off nights and question marks then Cotto so I do really see him winning this.

But this is boxing, and if Buster can beat Mike, Marg can beat Cotto

yeh it wont be easy but cotto wil win and anyone can beat anyone in boxing jus depends on how much u want it and how gd u on are the night.
