I think Margarito will beat the dog piss out of Cotto.

Yes, I remember Gomez almost KO Cotto with that. He caught Cotto's glove with his face.

I think Cotto will have to be very wary of the uppercut, among other punches.

I Slightly favor Cotto in this fight ,but i think people are underestimating Margarito.Margarito is much more intelligent then people give him credit for.

He can apply defense and box when he wants to,Throws punches at different angles and sometimes hes faster in some fights then previous (Williams fight for example).

I think the fact that Cotto probably wont be able to hurt Margarito combined with the fact that Margarito is going to be throwing punches in bunches at many different angles is going to trouble Cotto.

And just because Margarito was slow in his last fight does`nt necessarily mean hes going to have that same speed. He might be a lot faster then he use to be further compounding the difficult style on paper at least that hes going to present to Cotto.

I`ve seen fighters who are normally slow suddenly have blazing speed.

Just to follow up on some of the comments. I think Margarito is like granite, I think there is a slightly greater chance that Cotto outboxes him enough to win the fight. I can't imagine anyone thinking this will be a blow out, nor thinking that Margarito doesn't have a chance. Kudos to both of them for making this fight.

The few, isolated, individual times Cotto was caught with anything he was in imminent danger of his night ending with even the slightest amount of follow up. The follow up just wasn't there. Have you seen Margarito fight??

Cotto has been as lucky as he has been clever or knowing. Margarito by nature and design will not stop coming. You're about to see how shaky your man's chin really is if you don't already know.
so Cotto is undefeated cuz he has been lucky 32 times!!!! get the **** outtaherere!!!!!!

Margarito is the best boxer ever and somehow he have 5 losses!!!

Check their records and face reality Cotto have face better opponents and havenot loss!!!

Addison.. Your sick need to try and DETRACT from Cotto's obvious boxing prowess is more telling about YOUR weakness than your intended target.

Do you REALLY think Clottey is more durable than Cotto????? Are you serious?

Margarito, your latest hero is a CLUB fighter. You talked all this BS I see in the past about Mosley being too much for Cotto and we ALL saw how brilliant your little analysis proved to be.

So here we are in 2008...and you are STILL wishing death on Cotto. What happened at the prom Addison, tell me... I won't tell I promise. Was it a Puerto Rican that left your girlfirend like this: (____0____) Was it?

If Cotto is going upstairs it doesn't matter who he's hitting - he's not a knockout puncher. If Cotto is going to the body full tilt he can get guys out of there somewhere with 12.

Margarito hasn't fought anyone with Cotto's power?? Are you sure about that? Again, if you aren't focusing on Cotto's body technique I'd say you're off the mark. I detailed this myself. Frankly, this ^ is a recipe for disaster.
Margarito is going to get hit harder and more often than in any of his fights. Margarito is slow, easy to hit and he goes wild with his punches leaving him wide open for counters.

The problem is that you think Cotto can't take what Margarito can dish out and that's where you're wrong. While Margarito has power, he doesn't have one punch ko power. His Ko of Cintron was from swarming punches that Cintron just couldn't get away from, it was like a deer caught in the headlamps he froze up.He just stood there taking punches he even bent down and covered up. Do you think Cotto's just going to stand there taking punches? Cotto will fight in spots, he will use his movement and jab to disrupt Margo's flurries. He will stand when he needs to get the better of the exchanges and then move away. As the fight goes on Margarito will be wary of coming in so wild and that's when this fight will change, Cotto will start putting pressure on Margo and he will begin to fade ending in a Ko for Cotto.

What you fail to see is Cotto's abilities to hurt Margarito all you seem to focus is that Miguel chin is too weak or that he's not stong enough to keep Margo off him. You are truly underestimating Cotto's power and boxing abilities.

Addison, out of curiosity, did you pick against Cotto with Malignaggi, Quintana, Judah or Gomez?
