I'm not accusing you.. I'm telling you! If I'm lying in that post I'm dying... and I still have a pulse.
Understanding the business aspect of the sport is one thing, but using it as an excuse as to why fighter A should not be fighting fighter B, is just plain silly coming from a so-called fan. These boxers have promoters, lawyers, advisors, etc....to worry about all of that. To say that the pfp#1 fighter in the sport should not be facing his #1 contender/#1 threat to his crown, is just plain silly. Why would u NOT want to see that fight sooner rather than later? **** how big it "might" be in 09. If i aint profiting off of it, why should i care how "big" it can or can not be next year.
The problem is, some of these Floydboyz are putting themselves in Floyd's shoes, wishing there were him. I think they close thier eyes at night and fantisize about being him. They make the ludicrious statements here on bscene as if they were him. That's the problem. Im a fan. I want what every fight fan wants, and that's competitive matchups where the best take on the best. Guys like horus only want to see what makes financial/business sense for Floyd.Last edited by deevel79; 04-08-2008, 01:25 PM.

I have never once heard Horus or Sonofasis talk about any other fighter other then Mayweather or who he is fighting as well..
Notice how the real boxing fans are hyped to see every upcoming fight and post about it but these cats can only post about one thing and one thing only.
It's as if they don't follow the sport just one fighter and his business aspects.
Everyone here is hyped to see Marg v. Cintron rematch and Tarver v. Woods.. these cats are in here on old news and b.s.

you're the one saying that Floyd has a better resume at 147, and u have the nerve to call me biased? LOL.

I have the “nerve” to state an opinion backing it up with factual observations. Anyone is allowed to agree or disagree with the connections made.
You on the other hand state your opinion as if you were dispensing the truth and throw in a bunch of other opinions to motivate it.
On the very few facts you mention I take the time to dispense my perspective. You have NO answer.
You are the one pulling bull**** like mentioning Oscar De La Hoya then you take it back.
I never had a sig/avatar pro or against a fighter. (And I would never have one against a fighter)
You on the other hand have the fighter which you state has the better resume in your avatar, and you have a signature calling a professional fighter a clown (which makes you a *****, since you wouldnt have the dedication to have 40 AM fights, much less 40 pro fights and you still call the ****er a clown) The professional fighter who you call a clown happens to be the one who you consider to be the one with the worse resume.
Yeah, I will definitely call you biased, and a lot of people will agree with me.

Its no secret that im very critical of Floyd. Pre 147 i was actually a fan of his, but since moving up he has turned into the pfp clown. Oscar gave him a huge payday, and now he doesnt know how to act.
When a fighter shows that he is only interested in taking the easier fights that offer the most money, its hard to respect him as a fighter. Yes he posseses great skills. There's no denying that, but when your only chasing money fights, its hard for a fight fan like me to defend him. Why should i, or anyone care about whats financially beneficial to Floyd? Im a fan who like to see competitive fights. I dont see a penny from any of his purses, and nor do u. So why should u care?

If he picked the fights I wanted, how often I wanted, it would be good for me, but in all honesty I would think he is ****** and why on earth he would be doing that, when he could fight less often and make more money by fighting someone else, and possibly with an even better chance of winning.
I don't care about the money he gets and I find the whole lifestyle flashy thing annoying and distasteful, whatever. But I am not calling a clown someone who takes the best decisions for him and his family, especially not someone who literally boxed away his youth.
(Sidenote: IMO in terms of competition Mayweather's worse moment was between Castillo and Judah ('03-'05), everything in between was pathetic, everything else I have been fine with)

Now your sounding somewhat reasonable. My only problem with your post is the fact that u say that your ok with him fighting other opponents for more money that he has a better chance of winning against. That's all good for him, but me as a fan, i like to see fighters pushed. In every single sport, the best go up against the best. For some reason, in boxing, that logic is excluded.
Put it like this. My 3 favorite fighters are Pac, JMM, and Cotto. I prefer to see them in a fight that they might lose, rather than see them in a fight that's in the bag for them. What fun is that? I like tight competition. Its not my concern what is "best" for them. Im just a fan. Do nascar fans prefer that Dale Earnhardt drive cautiously so that he dont get hurt because he has a family at home? NO! They're there for the excitment, and to cheer him on. That's what fans are for. We pay to see u perform.
Too many Floyd fans are too concerned with what's in his best interests. Your the one paying to see him fight. Worry about what's in your best interest.Last edited by deevel79; 04-08-2008, 04:16 PM.
