Bigger draw.....Mayweather/De La Hoya II or Mayweather/Cotto?????

I think since so many people were dissapointed about the first DLH v. Mayweather fight the Cotto one would do more.

You have both who are undefeated..
Both coming off of career high wins.
You have a fighters fighter fighting a boxing technician.
You have a fight that has been hyped and brewing for months that
every boxing fanatic wants to see.
You have Miguel Cotto who has a very large Latin fan base both in the U.S.A.
and the Carribean.
You have Mayweather who is now a semi-household name do the DLH fight and then not so much but still Ricky Hatton.


If they market this fight like the Hatton v. Mayweather or DLH v. Mayweather
I believe it does better numbers.


The casual fans will remember how the first DLH v Mayweather didn't live up to the hype and won't buy it.. This is something new and exciting.
All you have to do is play the Ricky Hatton KO over and over and Miguel Cotto destroying practically everybody they put in front of him and it will be sold!

Most of what you said happened with Hatton-Mayweather and that fight won't even sell as much as Mayweather/DLH 2. We are still on for that bet right?

Ok Ok Ok, everyone has their minds distorted. When was that fight "May 5th 2007" Now these are CASUAL fans, do you think any of them actually remember what happened in the fight? They are "casual" for a reason". I do think they might say "oh that fight it ******", but who knows.

Mayweather-Cotto is 100x a better matchup than Mayweather-DLH 2, but it doesn't mean it's a bigger "draw" or "money fight". DLH is much more popular and known than Cotto.

Floyd is not going to do anything special for the Cotto and Arum to build this fight

Floyd is expecting Cotto and Arum to do something Special to build this fight Simply because he does not like Arum ..

And that something Special is Getting those other 2 belts..So it can make up for Cotto not having the personality to be a mainstream Attraction ....

Cotto is not a Draw outside of Boxing Yet so he has no choice but to get those belts to fight Floyd or become a mainstream Attraction...And Floyd knows Cotto doesnt have a personality so the only option Cotto has is to become GREAT. and get those 2 belts.!!!...

This is what I have been trying to say forever...
Cotto Stock isnt high enough to really convince Floyd and the Public that this could be a big event...

I would definitely say cotto and mayweather. dlh and mayweather has already been. i honestly that the rematch will have the same outcome. whats gonna beat oscar is the same thing that beat him last time, stamina. he will tire out and floyd will capitialize on that. cotto will present a better challenge since he is young, a good boxer, good power, and has great stamina. if mayweather doesnt fight cotto after hes done with mayweather, i would say hes ducking him. sorry floyd fans, its just how i feel

I think a lot of people will vote for cotto floyd because they want that fight.. but not realizing that the casual fans are what make up most of the revenue for fights...

and the casual fan knows oscar 45x more than cotto
