Give David Tua a title shot

    Do it now

    #2
Does he still have the "fire in his belly"(atlas quote) to want to win the title? I don't think he deserves a title shot but then again havn't seen him fight in a long time.

Tua hasn't beaten a heavyweight contender in over 5 years. He has nothing coming to him.

I like Tua, but he should have to at least fight few people with a pulse first. Especially since he's never won a belt before. It is a shame that someone with his chin and power hasn't yet.

Ok that was my answer without the Atlas Cheesyness also.

Prime Tua was vicious and he started going about the motions looking for 1 single punch towards the later half of his career:

Not to mention he started ballooning and lost his mobility. lol obviously I'm not talking about him being ****ing "fleet footed" but he used to just close the gap and beat your ass down with 1000 power punches.

He's not that version of the Tuaman anymore.

In his prime, I think he's the most intimidating Heavyweight I've ever seen.

The way he'd just attack and impose his will.

Think about the bums like Ibragimov that are competing for and winning titles, then tell me that a 48-3 David Tua doesnt deserve a shot at the very least.

He's not the same Tua. Two of his fights stick in my mind the Lewis fight where Lewis, imo, was actually intimidated by Tua untill he found out there was more hype to Tua then his punch. And his fight with Byrd. Tua got hit with a bodyshot that nearly took his wind out but in the 12 round i belive he had Byrd out on his feet but Tua just couldn't let his hands go or wasn't aware that Byrd was seriously hurt.

                    Oh don't get me wrong.

With 1 punch he can still clear out 90% of the division. But I personally won't get my hopes up for a comeback of sorts.

If you're talking sporadic payday title material I suppose.
