Pacquiao-Larios in November

But between this and PAC-LARIOS, I would prefer the latter. Besides, Nazario is not inclined to have Manny fight in Glasgow because he's afraid that what Harrison needs to do is only to remain standing up to the 12th round and he's gonna get the hometown decision.
I have this feeling that PAC-LARIOS would be the undercard for MAB-MORALES which is a little embarrasing because Pacquiao is bigger than Barrera now. However if it happens, HBO will be up in the air because Pacquiao in addition to Morales is also a big fan-drawer. However, I don't view this scenario as detrimental to Pacquiao's reputation, because his real objective is to have a tune-up fight before the year ends, and if this is the only way he can get it, then let's bring the PACMAN on!!!
Well Pacquiao going to glassglow to fight HARRISON is a much better option than bitting into that undercard offer. I'm not really worried on the "losing via scorecards" scenario, with Pacquiao and Harrison's reputed style of fighting I'm sure that the percentage of that fight going to the scorecards is very remote. The only problem is the MONEY factor. HBO I'm sure will not allow Manny to fight outside of their territory where they can't earn a single cent.

Originally posted by grayfistFine with me that Pacman meet Harrison, wherever. They're bound to meet sometime, somehow if none of them gets derailed. Now is as good a time as any, given that Manny is virtually scraping the bottom of the barrel in trying to get even just a tune-up fight among featherweights (in my eyes, Larios is basically still a jr. feather and a good one). Harrison is a Wayne McCoulough-type. His KO rate is just a shade over 50%; but he KO'd William Abelyan in his last fight. That got the British fans swooning, anticipating the return of the glory days of featherweights in the empire which was abbreviated when Hamed crawled into his hole after having been jabbed silly by Barrera. But if the purpose of a tune-up, as I understand it, is to hone further the skills neeeded to face the fighter one is tuning up for, then Harrison is not the best material around. His style cannot be mistaken for Morales'. Harrison is in the record books as 5'7, just as tall as Manny. Morales is taller. Harrison was beaten by Medina earlier, but avenged that before meeting Abelyan. BBC announced some days ago that Harrison will be defending his WBO title agains an African. If the BBC report is true, then, Harrison won't be available for a Pac fight. I am tempted to think that any talk about a Harrison-Pac meeting by the Harrison camp is just to raise their man's stature and make him look like part of the division's elite; and to hype Harrison's next fight into the bargain. If the news, as you say, has been heard from Pacman's camp, then I don't know how they can work out the schedule there being that announced WBO title defense by Harrison. Could it be that Pacman's crew is reaching in desperation because Pac can't get a fight and is restless and is putting the heat on them? Could very well be the case and I won't like to be in their shoes. If I'm asked who I think should be picked to face APac in a tune-up, I'll say Larios. But then, that's just ten cents worth of an opinion, which is the highest bid for any that I have.

Originally posted by mai.pen.rai.krapThe BBC report is true. Harrison will face the challenge of Kebede. Pac is out of the picture. Boxlatino alleges that a Larios-Hussein Jr. Featherweight championship showdown is in the works. Pac is out again. Offers were made, words were leaked into the press with the name of Pacquiao written all over it to generate attention...that's all there is to it. WBA regular featherweight champ Chris John of Indonesia is going to fight Derrick Gainer. While WBC featherweight champ In Jin Chi is asking for a ridiculous amount of money. That's the story as of late bros. HBO can't accommodate a PacMan fight into its tight schedule anymore. Pac will seem to have a long vacation.

Originally posted by grayfistThanx for the info,pal!... sad as its contents are that Pacman is again left out in the cold. But the, there's that Larios buzz! What's the real score on that?
Hey, Joan Guzman has openly challenged Pacquiao. I don't think it's a good fight for Pac. I mean, what Pac needs is tune-up alright to keep himself in top fighting form NOT a dangerous challenge that could derail his future rematch with JMMarquez.
Your thoughts on this Pac-Guzman match-up.

Originally posted by grayfistWith you on that, buddy. No point in taking risks. Guzman, if anything, should be eyed as a big-purse prospect that Manny can meet in the future, to rake in some more of those $$$. Guzman, Rocky Juarez... those guys can be big fights in the horizon for Pac. Why meet Guzman now for relative peanuts when, after Guzman pads his record sufficiently and Manny stays on a roll, the big bucks can be had after, say, a year or two? Whatdya think?
I agree with you. Guzman is a serious threat without the benefit of a high $$$ reward yet. It'll be good if he could clean up his weight class first then move up and challenge Pacquiao. It's interesting to note that Guzman actually challenged both Larios and Vasquez for megabuck showdowns and even hyped himself up as the "Mexican Assasin", he was just ignored though. Anyway a Pac-Guzman fight in the future would be interesting, who's the bigger puncher?
