    Has Trinidad damaged his legacy?

Now were all aware that Trinidad is a legend of the sport but he's lost three of his last five fights. do you think this damages his legacy in the sport or do you think its excuseable given the fact that hes been fighting way over his natural weight against world class operators. I think it shows a lot of heart and courage. what do you think?

Nope, now he can finance a movie about his career from his earnings. Probably help is legacy.

It won't affect it in my eyes, nobody beat him at 147 and 154, that's where his legacy will be.

**** no... at least the Jones fight won't hurt his legacy. He came back after years away at a weight higher than he had ever fought, and lost, very predictably so...

Hopkins and Wright may hurt him, because it proved that he wasn't elite at 160... if he had been elite at 160, it would have been a great aspect to his career, but obviously he wasn't so...

147 and 154 is where Tito's real quality legacy is, and that is where he will be remembered.

no way his legacy has been damage. if anything i give trinidad credit for fighting guys like hopkins wright and jones. he only has three loses in his record.I just hope that tito fights a guy like pavlic or taylor at 160 he will give these guys hell.

not at all...Jones' legacy should be questioned for fighting a guy much lighter and years out of the sport..that is dodgy if you ask me.

Only with "boxing fans" who base their opinions of fighters merely on a fighter’s paper record.

Nobody who was a fan during the late 90’s and watched his fights would consider him anything less than great.

Nope considered he was nowhere near his best weight and still put up a good showing.

I would love to say yes. Because it should be like this. If you accept a fight not at your ideal weight then you should pay the consequences even if that means a damaged legacy.

But Boxing isn't like this, and probably rightly so.

We judge fighters by what they were at there best. Even if Tito looses ten more times at his ideal weight range, i can't see how it damages his legacy since we all know he has aged and is past his best. Same goes with RJJ today.
