Hatton has a great style now that most others dont have, and he may lose that style's edge and move away from it if he changes trainers: see Tyson, Gatti

Adding something to that style may make him a better fighter in my opinion. Throughout Hatton's career there have been flaws. There were flaws in his best performance against Kostya, and there were flaws in his fight with Mayweather. That's not to say that most every fighter doesn't have flaws, but in my opinion Hatton's are obvious, and with the right trainer he could do something about that. With regards to Gatti, Tyson... Gatti changed his style in order to prolong his career, and Tyson would've deteriorated no matter who trained him as the committment he had in his earlier career deteriorated quicker than his abilities i.e. Do you really think that Kevin Rooney could have kept Mike Tyson on the straight and narrow? Sure, he may have prepared him better, but 100% preparation breeds success and Tyson didn't and wouldn't have had that.

I think they should bring someone in as a co-trainer to teach Hatton a few new things. His fighting style has barely changed in the last few years and he doesn't adjust well in fights.

I don't think that the decision would be made on the evidence of the Mayweather fight, i think that Billy Graham has been lacking technically & tactically throughout Hatton's career, but Hatton has natural talent. Bringing in another trainer to work alongside Graham could have a very negative effect as it would clearly undermine Billy Graham. You only have to look at the failed partnership of Oscar Saurez & Emmanuel Steward when they worked in tandem for Naseem Hamed. One was a high profile trainer working for a high profile fighter, being undermined by a trainer who was making his way in the game. Of course, there will be occasions when two trainers can work together, but as Ricky Hatton has been with Billy Graham from day one i really don't think that that arrangement could work.

He shouldn't drop Billy Graham. After all they do have a long history and no way is he gonna get that connection from anyone else.
He should just bring someone else in to help.
