Puerto Rico sold its soul to America.

With that said, I'm not attacking any of my Puerto Rican friends with that comment.

      Peace to borikua, baya, etc.

I always find it amusing when these little peripheral ethnic groups try and raise their dwindled self-esteem by seemingly degrading primary ethnic groups who have a static identity. Unlike PRs who only share bonds by speaking the language of their Spanish masters. "Hispanic" isn't a race, which is why you have white hispanics, black ones, and those who represent more so the natives who have always inhabited the land.

Tito is your typical west African with a bit of Spanish and native blood on the side. Though, above all else, he identifies as a Puerto rico, which he should. Doesn't neglect the fact that he probably doesn't look like you.

The funny thinG is that a boricua no matter the color of the skin, WILL ALWAYS BE TREATED LIKE A "PUERTORRICAN."

BLACK PEOPLE, NO MATTER THEIR NATIONALITY will be treated like the BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN. That's why TiTo Trinidad, no matter the color of his skin, WILL ALWAYS BE RECOGNIZED AS ANOTHER GREAT PUERTORRICAN CHAMP.

In the 2000 census it came out that 87% of PRicans describe themselves as white, what does that say? In the U.S. Puerto Ricans consider nationality to be a race because Americans lump all latinos together in the "Latino" group because they consider us inferior to American whites, but different from American blacks. So people consider "Puerto Rican" and "Mexican" races, but for those of PR or Mex blood, they do it as a means of solidarity between each other and in order to have an identity and something to belong to in a system that sees them ass second class.
The only important color in PR is GREEN, as long as you got money, the color of the skin doesn't matter for ****!!!
