he knocked out Nunn at middleweight. that was when he was at his peak. (prime)

Toney tipped the scales at 180 lbs on fight night against RJJ i know that was at 168 but no wonder he struggled so badly in that fight

i only bring that up cause i was just watching the RJJ V Toney fight

i hate that fight and i won't dare to watch it again. i think Toney would have beaten Roy if he didn't have to be hooked up to IV's before the fight because of weight drain.

That was after he was being thoroughly out boxed and behind on the cards.

i still give Roy the edge just ,however Toney was an awsome counter puncher & had the real Toney fought that night he would have been able to time RJJ even as quick as he was, Toney was a master at rolling with punches and picking counters & timing his oponents

i still pick RJJ by decision though

              Bernard Hopkins would've beaten Nunn.

didn't he get his hands raised in victory after the fight? Nunn was a masterful boxer and a slicksouthpaw. he was very underated and would give anybody trouble.

that is true, he was behind on the cards but the knockout punch was devastating. its also no disgrace in being outboxed by nunn who was one of the most talented fighters i have ever seen. plus we should remember toney was still very young in this fight

Hopkins would have got his ears boxed off. especially since he does not have the kind of power that Toney did to knock Nunn out with one shot.
