Same here dude. My first fight I saw on HBO was Barrera-Juarez I, but I wasn't a fan. Then I played Fight Night Round 3, and that, coupled with me liking Roy Jones's song, "I Smoke, I Drank" made me DL Jones's 2 fights that were in ESPNClassic on that game, vs. Hopkins and vs. Toney. It's a miracle that I stuck with the sport, considering my first fight I watched was Jones Jr. vs. Hopkins. I downloaded the 3 Tarver fights.
Then, my life changed. I saw, at a friends house, on HBO... FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. vs. CARLOS BALDOMIR. My friend said he hated him, and I felt it was appropriate to try to annoy the **** out of my friend, so I gave Floyd a chance. Look at me now.
The first PPV I watched live was Mayweather Jr. vs. De La Hoya.
Since Forrest vs. Baldomir, I have tried to watch every live boxing event I can.
Like he said, I'm getting more and more hooked on the sport every day.
Well, in fairness, the next fight I saw of his was Mayweather Jr. vs. Gatti... I downloaded it, because Arturo Gatti was also in Fight Night Round 3.
Good thing was, any boxer in Fight Night Round 3 that he had fought at the time would have made for an exciting fight to watch... Corrales, Chavez & Gatti.
EDIT: What the hell does your signature mean, and who put you in the red?

It's an actual quote from a Mayweather - Hatton presser.

And not sure. A whole whack of guys.
That's **** that they redded you... Your ******* sn was Smokin... I really hated him. I like you thought, because... once again, we are having another good conversation in another thread.
I asked about your sig because I didn't read it, but the other day I think you had Mayweather's name next to both quotes, so I made a mental note to ask about it... I guess I should have read it again first to make sure though.

It was a mistake...I'll try to dig up some more funny quotes. I know there is a clip on youtube somwhere where Hatton pushes Mayweather down the stairs. True story.

Mayweather is also quite the **** talker.
Yeah, that was another thing that drew me to him... **** talking is great when done right.
When the first few things I saw of Floyd besides his fights were...
1. Him being carried to the ring in a gladiator suit against Baldomir.
2. Him being carried on a throne against Gatti.
3. Him having rappers come in rapping about Corrales beating his wife.
I was like, wow, this guy is a total d-bag, and I love it, and he whitewashed all of those opponents, so to me, that is backing it up.
I talk the same kind of **** in real life, so I usually think that **** is quite funny.
Hell, I was a Ricardo Mayorga fan for a while for that reason alone, but god he is so bad in the ring, that I couldn't stand labeling myself as a Mayorga fan anymore.

lol lol. I forgot about that stunt he pulled with Gatti.
Apparantely he has a plan for Ricky. Wouldn't be suprised if he dressed up as a brit from the 1500's. You know, the curly white wig and the whole bit.
