Im an aussie and would love to see them do well, but let's be honest -

Mundine has all the talent in the world and could/would beat nearly anyone, he's just got to get out of his own back yard and go do it - him i have no doubt in

Katsidis and Briggs are our answer to Gatti - fun to watch, big hearts, true warriors, but when they get in there with world class talent ( seeing as its an aussie thread - imagine what Mundine would do to Briggs?) they are gonna get pasted

Darchinian is the unknown quantity, how he comes back from defeat, yeah he won last week but didnt look good doing it , we wont know untill the rematch happens.

I think the one to watch out for, especially with the current shape of the division is Kali Meehan - He was robbed against Brewster, got belted by Rahman but has notched up some wins recently - how good was the knockout of Williamson! i think he'll get another shot

Even though i hate Tarver with a passion especially now that he has ruined the Rocky set i have!!! ****wit tarver will beat green!!! Green cant handle guys like tarver and mundine!!! guys with abit of slickness about them!!! But ill be hoping he can pull off the upset!!!

Mundine is the best chance australia has IMO!!! Green is dreaming if he thinks he change anything that happened in their last fight!!! Green should stay well away from anthony!!! Mundine will beat kessler calzaghe and bute!!!

You know what i agree with you. Even though i posted Danny and them winning, i don't think they will (my brain says that). But my heart says they can.

As for Mundine. Well we all know what he can do, and its something special. But its time for him to have a go. Now hes going to start calling out big names. Interested to see who he fights next. It will determine whether he will be a good Australian boxer. Or a pound for pound fighter.

Out of the whole list of nonsense-the only fighter of any value is the ARMENIAN Vic Darchinyan. The best was Kostya Tszyu...and he was Russian!
Mundine is a bum,wastes his talent and fights Argentenian plumbers.He should fight Sakio Bika...
Danny Green is just out of retirement,and at best was a slugger who had no boxing ability.Got owned by Mundine.
Katsidis is,to his credit fighting the best out there for him at the moment,but coming up short against Juan Diaz and an old Joel Casamayor.
As for Paul Briggs...isnt he a kiwi? He lost to Tomaz Adamek I believe...
Boxing is not a big sport here,as the are only maybe 100-150 licensed boxers...muay thai is bigger from what I gather....

Hopkins and Winky are on their way out, Jones has already left but snuck back in through a bathroom window, Taylor is not going to be around much longer and certainly won't be championship material again, Mosley is past his prime and Mayweather keeps retiring every ten seconds. Pavlik is the only guy who is remotely future-proof on your list and I personally believe him to be a fairly limited fighter. There's no-one around to touch him right now but sooner or later he'll fight a decent boxing technician and get hammered.

If you're looking for good American fighters the best place to find them is at light-heavy I reckon. Cintron could be a force if he can get past Williams. Williams I don't rate at all, he's successful at 147 because he's massive but I have a feeling that just seven pounds north will largely nullify his advantage.
