Yeah, plenty of legacy and money making fights in that loaded 140 lbs. division. And of course big money fights with Malignaggi and a Castillo rematch. Maybe Pacquiao will come up from 130...

Cletus thinks De La Hoya is gonna come down to 147 and fight hatton in the UK, thats what he is talking about.

I cant see that happening, though hatton should jump at the chance if its a realistic possiblity.

I don't think a fight in the UK is realistic, but a fight in LA or Vegas is, and I think the fact that--for NOW, at least--Hatton is putting DLH on the backburner for a shot at Floyd proves his desire for the fight AT THIS POINT. I'm not arguing he wanted to fight him at any time before now...

LOL, that DLH offer is just smoke and mirrors. No real truth to that ****.

A DLH fight would not be taken seriously by any true boxing fan. It's just not a competitive fight unless you think Collazo is on the level of DLH. Who knows if DLH can really make 147 anyway...

Im not sure DLH can make 147 for Hatton, would he go down to that weight to fight Hatton, when he can fight tito at 160 or less and make more money on PPV, cos that fight must be one of the most awaited rematches of all time no?

I cant take Hatton vs De La Hoya seriously, if hatton has a chance to make it happen, he should take it though, lots of money.

DLH hasn't made 147 for years. And even when he was at that weight he was struggling. I dont think he can make it.

styles make fights, who knows urango could knock out mayweather, whos to know?

Oscar will fight anyone for the major bucks. Thats what he is all about. I mean now that he promotes himself, he should be making crazy money everytime he fights PPV

I agree with your hesitance to believe DLH can still make 147 (he would probably call for a catch weight at 150 or somesuch).

However, to say it would not be taken seriously by any true boxing fan is outlandish. DLH-anyone is a huge event, and must be taken seriously, especially if it's an undefeated international star like Hatton. Yes, DLH would be favored but it's not the mismatch you are making it out to be. DLH is no spring chicken, and this fight would happen after ANOTHER year of inactivity for him, against a guy who's going to come after him and make him fight all night long.

Do I think DLH will win? Yes, but I think it's a competitive fight with plenty of solid action. I'd much rather see DLH-Cotto and Mayweather-Hatton, but I'll take this if those fights aren't going to happen.
