What in that video proves that it would have been a garaunteed win for Duran if he fought PBF?
I am not saying that Duran wouldn't win but that is something that we will never know because that fight with both of them in they're primes will never happen. This **** just all opinions. What I do know as a fact is that Duran was great in his era just like PBF is great in this era and you can't take that away from either one of them.

IF PBF beat Cotto, Mosley, Margarito and Hatton with what some of yall call a boring style would yall still talk **** about him?
I mean if you all don't respect the way PBF boxes now and he beats all of them with that style why would you respect him now all of a sudden?

I agree that in terms of overall talent and production this era is below that era. But as you can see PBF is WAY above the people of this era so who is to say exactly what would happen. So I disagree when I hear people say that it would have been a garaunteed win for some of the boxers from that era if they fought PBF. Do some of yall realize that for some of the boxers yall critize PBF for boxing when they are set to fight somebody else all of a sudden they good to above average boxers and they're fight should be a good one. But yall critize PBF for making them look bad with his style. That only shows biased hate for PBF.

Duran would be too much for PBF. Duran's defense, power, chin, workrate, stamina, ruthlessness, rough style, excellent footwork.

Duran is my all time favorite fighter. He is also top 3 ATG. He was the only fighter to beat PRIME SRL! He also did this while he was going up in weight.

Duran-Had real championships not the new fake championships/titles @ 135lbs, 147lbs, 154lbs and 160lbs. He could've won the championship at 140lbs but he just leap forgged it to get bigger fights like Leonard.

People also point to the Leonard loss in the rematch but there are a few reasons for that. It was partially due to the short time between the 1st and 2nd fight. Duran was notorious for his bad conditioning and lifestyle between fights. Duran being the smaller fighter also took a lot of damage in the first fight, more so than Leonard. Similar to the Ali vs Frazier I where Frazier clearly won but took more physical damage.

This all lead to a less than optimal Duran. Leonard has also stated that the timing of the 2nd fight was a strategic choice.

I said it before and I will say it again. You will always be judged according to WHO you fight. At that time, Duran had the greatest fighters EVER in that division. I mean, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Gomez and if Salvador wouldn't have dies you could of added him in there as well.

PBF, IF he retires will lose alot of respect from me because there are still alot of names out there for him to conquer.

None of the bold up top is fact when it comes down to a fight between them. Also yes he beat a prim SRL you can't take that away from him but SRL also fought Duran's fight because he got in his feelings about the **** Duran was saying. The 2nd fight SRL fought his style and we now have the infamous "NO MAS". Strategic or not the outcome was the outcome.
**** strategy it was De la Hoya's stategic plan to make PBF fight at 154, uses Reyes gloves and fight in a smaller ring and he still lost but PBF gets no credit.
I don't mind debating mythical match ups but they should not be spoken of in factual terms because we will never know.

With Duran you can only use "what if they fought" with fighters outside of his era. Because Duran fought EVERYONE that was of note in whatever his division was. He even went up divisions to fight guys whom he thought of as the best competition.

Thats one of the things you gotta love about him. PBF, RJJ and many other great fighters will all have that "What if he fought" next to there name. Duran never has to have that shadow diminish the glimmer of his name.

Come on man be real. Judah and De la Hoya won 3-4 at best and with Judah before the low blow he was about to get KO'ed. Castillo couldn't even beat a one-armed PBF and 2nd proved when healthy Castillo was no match but nobody ever wants to talk about the rematch like they only fought once.
