Roy never tested positive for steroids. He was just physically gifted with out of this world reflexes, speed and power. After capturing the HW he should have retired. He would be considered top 10 ATG IMO, though very debatable of course.

His next fight was also a first-time boxing event for a venue, as he traveled to Indianapolis and retained his title with an 11-round technical knockout over Richard Hall at the Conseco Fieldhouse. A post-fight drug test showed that both Jones and Hall tested positive for androstenedione which was available legally over-the-counter at that time but banned by the IBF. The results of Jones' next two drug tests, which were negative, were sent to the Indiana Boxing Commission. The IBF chose not to take any action against Jones or Hall.

He definately used anabolic steorids to bulk up, train and recover faster in preparation for the Ruiz fight. They even helped his punch resistance. He probably did a mega cycle compared to the micro dosing he was doing at LHW.

But what goes up must come down. In a desperate attempt to make LHW Jones had to cut weight so fast which required him to cycle off. The beating he took from Tarver while being drained, permanently damaged his punch resistance.

Also it's not a coincidence that Jones' form started declining at same time that new advanced testing was introduced. The new test could easily detect the primative steroid called nandrolone which Roy was using.

No it isn't odd. He got tired halfway through the first Tarver fight. He was never the same physically after that. Roy never got tired in a fight before. Tarver didn't even put that kind of pressure on Roy for Roy to waste that kind if energy.

You know whats odd, Roy a big draw and star of boxing. Why the hell would he always want to fight in lowly Florida, where he could pull the strings in his home town....

When you come up with evidence that he was a career PED user, let me know. Attention whores never get attention from me. I deal with facts, not opinions when a fighter is accused of PED use. Hmu when you get dat info.
