The rooster ambush style of fighting doesn't work against the type of pressure Tarver applied.

Tarver wasn't a pressure fighter you goddamn nimkimpoop. And he didn't win the 2nd & 3rd fights against Roy with pressure. I take it you've never seen the man box? His style was tailor made for Prime Roy.

He actually almost let his 3rd fight with Roy slip away due to his lack of activity and inability to apply consistent pressure. Thankfully for him Roy was beyond shot and couldn't pull the trigger.

Cutting 25lbs of muscle to go back down to 175. Which was ******.

Roy was never part of Balco. I know some of you get off on hating on people but at least know what the **** you're talking about. Don't make **** up.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Watch the Clinton Woods fight and then the first Tarver fight. The fight before and after Ruiz. You can see that he was not the same. Has nothing to do with Tarver being anything special. His body was not the same. His movement was not the punches. His punches were not the same. The weight loss ruined him.

I'm interested to see these poll results.
Easy answer look at his win lose record and amount of ko's before he got popped and post Hall

I know Roy fans will say the weight(when all he did was fight at his walk around weight) and ripped fuel(even though the IBF said anabolic roids), but someone simply post his win lose record and ko's before he was popped and after, lucky for Roy fan boys I'm busy at work.......

I'll wait for someone to post this and sit back and laugh at the ****ery................

He truly lost at age 35. Roys record after losing is no proof of anything clown.

post-hall to pre-ruiz, roy went 5-0 with 4 stoppages and showed no signs of slowing down....if it was steroids and not weight, then when exactly did he quit taking them?

Roy was chasing history with all of the jumping in weight. I felt he got careless against Tarver and being KO'd devastated him and took away his confidence. This to me, at my age, was way more devastating than the Tyson KO. Just wasn't the same after that fight. Most raw talent a fighter has ever had.
