Here again is what I said about Judah vs. Mayweather:

Yes, he was highly impressive in those initial rounds.

He was trying too much to play tic tac toe, and he never believed deep down that he was the better man. That's why he folded on Floyd. You could see it in both of their faces. Floyd's face said "I'm better than you" and Zab wore the expression of a gambler. Discouraged once he started losing.

He is as skilled of a fighter in body and ability as Floyd is. He showed that.

He was better for a while there.

It's not fair for us to try to understand his psychology.

I can guarantee he doesn't fold on everybody. He'll be up for this one.

Hey all the respect in the world to Zab. he's a professional boxer and eats punches for a living. But my big point is he seems like a one handed fighter to me and he's never really felt power like Cotto will hit him with. Man that kid has made more people quit in the ring than I have ever seen. He has the ability to produce a lot of damage and punches to the body in old school fashion. I think once he starts findin the mark Zabs gameplan will move towards damage control mode.

I'm headin out to NYC for this one no doubt!

I think this fight could really go either way. Judah is a slick southpaw with some pop and that could pose some serious problems for Cotto. I think Judah is as skilled a fighter as Cotto but he lacks in the mental game.

I think both fighters will get hurt in an exciting see saw battle with Cotto coming out the winner by KO in the 9th or 10th.

That's well put and hard to argue against..

          Nice.

I'll maintain that Cotto is not mobile enough, intelligent in his choices, or dynamic enough to defeat Zab.

But he is strong it seems; and Zab may be shocked at his power.

Again though, I highly doubt a "Mighty Mouse" like Zab is going to let the "Terminator" just come and eat him up.

I have questions as to whether Cotto can even get started.

Ive just been watching some more Zab fights, Kids lethal and Super quick! Addison u make some great points and have made me have a good re think! However i maintain Cotto is the better man - Mentally he is SO Stong! Iron will and smart too, he knows when to box when to fight and when and how to catch a sly breather! Phyiscally the man is a bull! So strong! While not Zab Judah fast he is pretty quick, otherwise why has he beat all these quicksters? Cotto also has a vastly under appreciated D and chin! I say his chin is solid but Zab is one of the few fighters out there that i beleive could Seriously trouble a WELTER Weight Cotto with a single blow! Zab can ****, he a KO puncher, theres sumthing about Miguels punches tho, there THUDDING, he hurts u where ever he hits u, this man breaks bones! A lot of people have quit in pain against Cotto, i cant see Zab quitting but he is IMO a mentally weak fighter and may fold. I see Zab storming the 1st 2 rounds then Cotto catching up, u cant dance from Cotto all night he cuts off the ring too well, I could see Zab hurting him with a Fast left and jumping all over him (possibly getting the stoppage!) but remember Cotto has been there before and rallied to win! The way i see it Zab who has a ton of skillz 1of the most gifted fighters in the world is down almost to a punchers chance! I know that sounds harsh but Cotto is a general in there! He will i think Work the body and head with all his arsenal and i can see him switching up his stance from time to time also, im betting on a latish stoppage say from 6 to 10 rounds in Cottos favour!

I have to agree with this. Extremely well put.

When these fighters are formulating their game plans, and watching tape of each other I imagine Zab is going to have the easier time. He will know what to expect from Miguel. On the other hand I think Cotto's gameplan will be predicated upon Zab making errors, and getting himself in trouble. That could be a fundamental flaw in approach if Zab is on point.

If Cotto manages to avoid getting hit with a big shot - he's clearly going to have an excellent chance to win.

But how can we realistically say he can avoid getting hit; when Floyd Mayweather himself was getting tattoo'd by Zab in the first 4 rounds?

Cotto will not have the intimidation factor here. Zab won't believe in a million years that Cotto is the better man. Miguel on the other hand will go in having some form of doubt, as will his people.

If Zab can KD Floyd Mayweather Jr. with a RIGHT HOOK, what do folks think he's going to do to Miguel? Zab also landed a serious left cross that had Floyd on the ropes and the crowd in a frenzy. I say if that was Miguel he would have been in serious trouble. Particularly of that hook KD. Floyd's superior athleticism allowed him back into that fight. Not just his will.

Cotto can come in there with the Eye of the Tiger, and more determination than any human being can carry - but it still won't make the difference against a high performance operator.

Zab is no Bernard Hopkins, but then again - Cotto is no Felix Trinidad.

And I see a similiar display for this one. If not an abrupt dispatchement.

                This was probably mentioned already....

Cotto is young and always focused when he fights. He brings a no nonsense
style to the game, though not as experienced.

His fight with Malignaggi was a good experience in dealing with quick boxers.

Judah, if he's got his head on right this time, doesn't showboat too much, and doesn't fade in the later rounds, could give Cotto his first defeat due to his experience in championship fights.

They're both strong with the edge in speed going to Judah.

Right now, it's a pick-em fight for me. I think it can go either way.

That on the whole was a well put together post with some great points but the above quote i cant agree with in the slightest, Cotto has beleived he was the best since day 1! HE woulda fought Zab or Floyd or Tszyu in his 10th fight! Nost PR fighters have this unshakeable beleif in themselfs! So confident but not ****y either

You're definately right #1. That was speculation on my part.
