holy **** edison miranda is huge. he'd give taylor a real run for his money. watching him fight on a computer screen really doesn't let you appreciate how structurally large he is. very broad back, long arms, huge fists...jesus man.

    miranda/taylor NEEDS to happen.

      Same here.

If Taylor gets caught throwing a lazy jab he's finished. If Nard had him on ***** street imagine what a power puncher would do to him.

Taylor has never faced anyone near as tenacious and agressive. Ouma would be the closest next to Marquez....but even at that they couldn't crack eggs with a hammer.

Yea, I'm convinced. Miranda crushes Taylor.
Does Tayler have the balls to give Miranda a shot?

          Yup so true.
Taylor gets hit alot too. His defence isnt exactly top notch. If he brawls with Miranda and gets caught, he's gonna go down. Miranda looks so much bigger to. I didnt realize how ripped this dude was.

Taylor is fighting Mora for the same reason Calzaghe is fighting Manfredo, popularity. A win over Mora and Manfredo, while not the best competition a champion could pick to face, would definately boost the respective champions perception in the public eye. Granted the public knows about as much about boxing as Stevie Wonder knows about spot-welding. Still, casual fans are part of the equation, always have been.

As for Miranda/Taylor, I for one would love to see it. I'd rather see Calzaghe/Taylor but since the Ouma fight Taylor has made it clear he has no intentions of moving to 168lbs. So Miranda/Taylor then becomes one of the biggest middleweight fights possible. I don't look for it to happen for a long, long time though. HBO has their tongues so far up Taylor's ass they could probably tell you the circumfrence of his colon.

Miranda is a very dangerous fight for Taylor because Miranda hits harder than anybody Taylor's faced thus far in his career. If he caught Taylor with something big Taylor would get KO'd, no doubt in my mind. And HBO's been working on building Taylor's status for years, why would they want to risk losing it all on Miranda?

They have no problem jumping ship.

We've seen them do it with Forrest, Mayorga, Spinks, and Judah. They'll hype a fighter and set up in some cases PPV fights....and when a contender comes along and derails them.....they simply start hyping the new guy.

Hype or no hype however, Edison Miranda is the truth.

Miranda is the truth, no doubt. And you're correct about jumping ship but I just can't see them doing it with Taylor. But stranger things have happened.

Why? Because Miranda is VERY exciting. People WANT to watch him. It all about entertainment and Miranda is a much bigger entertainer than Taylor ever will be. Plus Miranda is younger and may prove to be the better fighter.

Lol, Just like I predicted! We gonna have many people rubbing Miranda's nuts after this fight, you guys just don't learn, don't you?

I remember what happened with Lacy and now the same will be happening with Miranda.

Taylor will never lose to a guy like Miranda.

                    Miranda has no skills!
Miranda's chin will not be able to take Taylor's punch, I've seen the Eastman fight!
Miranda's power is getting overrated, I don't even think he hit's that hard!

Pantera, Taylor does not duck anyone, he will fight your boy Miranda and knock him out!

He does have mad power, but not as much as the one-fight hypers will no doubt tell you now. I don't think some people will ever learn to hold their hype. Taylor would outbox him to a 2 or 3 point decision, with I think both fighters being wobbled at least once. Miranda/Abraham winner should fight the Pavlik/Taylor winner early in 2008. That's my wish anyway, but Weaky might screw all that up.
