Holy mother off shit this thread is still ongoing? I'll be brutally honest I never really liked Mayweather Jr given his persona or some off his fanbase in the past, I acknowledge his accomplishments/record and training dedication...

That being said I was watching this fight live at home I remembered seeing it and was hoping Pacquiao would have won at the time but in the end as the fight progressed I knew that was not going to happen because off what we witnessed happening in the bout...

As for the fight, you think that Nevada was going to give the fight to their home town guy or Manny? Just look at the scoring of the first Bradley fight. No way that would have happened to Floyd! Manny always had to do more than was required while Floyd didn't need to as he is the Nevada Golden Nugget.

Manny wants legal pain killer for his torn rotator? No way!


Go watch round 2 and 3 of the fight. I remember a Floyd fan stating that Floyd easily won round 3. We duked it out. He had very little to show for Floyd in that round ... Manny was the better man in that round.

- Manny's doctor confirmed to diagnosing that Manny had a torn rotator cuff.
- MRI confirmed the diagnosis.
- Manny was supposed to go to USA to see his doctor and for rehab
- Manny instead did his own rehab in the Philippines!!!
- Manny's pre-fight physical health form had stated that Manny did use pain killers such as Lidocaine and Toradol.

- Journalist is the one who suggests by saying "appears to be fully healed"
- Manny didn't say that the salt water healed his torn rotator cuff. His thought was that the salt water helped heal his flesh wound. Very different.


Was it really healed?
- Remember that, no matter how you take it, the previous interview was NOT from a doctor's point of view. It was Manny's point of view.
- 6 or 7 weeks later, Manny had an MRI to see if it was healed.
- Manny said "Thank you to all the doctors. Very good progress. Successful MRI on my shoulder,” said Pacquiao in an Instagram post after the procedure." Again, people may think it is further proof that Manny is totally healed

BUT

"Pictures have emerged of the Filipino boxer having physiotherapy and an MRI scan at a hospital in Manila...... Doctors said the injury was healing well, but still advised him to avoid strenuous activity."

Finally, when did Manny fight next? It was against Bradley. Almost 1 full year after his fight with Floyd!!!

After Floyd fought Castillo the first time, his excuse for his poor performance was that he badly hurt (later it was said to be torn) his rotator cuff .... Just a month or 2 later, Floyd was already in negotiations to fight Castillo rematch. It was delayed but not because of his injury!

For Manny, who is perceived as an offensive fighter, to win the round, people are expecting heavy exchanges with Manny giving it more than receiving.
For Floyd, who is perceived as an defensive fighter, to win the round, the perception is that if the round is relatively quiet then Floyd did enough to control Manny.

That is to say, Manny was given round that he was clearly the aggressor while Floyd won those rounds that were quiet and relatively not as much action.

So unless Manny wins like round #4, it was tough for him to win the round.


Show me proof you say?
Carefully analyze round #3. This was close but clear round for Manny BUT the 3 Nevada judges gave it to Floyd. Years ago I provided the clips to prove it. Not sure if I still have them but if you analyze it objectively you would see the truth. That Nevada would never have given this fight to Manny.

You give round 3 to Manny then it becomes a 7-5 fight. I remember Lederman giving Manny round #2. Of course, the judges gave it to Floyd. That could have made it 6-6.

With COVID I am not going to the Philippines or anywhere else for a while. Hopefully vaccines will help us out.
I need to be more cautious: Last couple of times that I caught a bad cold it affected my breathing. I had a lot of difficulty breathing. So I need to be very careful with COVID.

Actually my breathing issue happened to me the last time that I was in the Philippines. My wife had planned several excursions during that trip.

Anyone who knows basic science knows that Manny Pacquiao couldn't have been raising his shoulder and throwing punches if he actually tore his rotator cuff. BTW- Mayweather also came into this fight with injured hands, and 2 years of age.

Its funny, since Pacquiao fans want to portray their hero as some "humble king" and mayweather as an "arrogant flexer" when it is the exact opposite.

Mayweather after beating Pacquiao: "He's [Pacquiao] a hell of a fighter. I take my hat off to Manny Pacquiao. Now I see why he's one of the guys at the pinnacle."
